I was told about a sudden, urgent repair and handed the full cost estimate up front. Naturally, I did a quick search and immediately found info online about a class action lawsuit involving this exact issue. You'd think the Service Advisor would be aware of this... but instead, it took them over two hours to "check" if the repair was covered under extended warranty due to the class action. It was--thankfully--but the delay and lack of awareness was frustrating. Later that day, I got a call saying there's another major issue, this time not covered. The new estimate? Around $3,500. My husband stepped in to push back on the cost, and surprise: suddenly they could do it for $2,500. That confirmed it for us: there's flexibility in the pricing, and it's likely driven by commission incentives. Makes you wonder if any back-end deals are happening between advisors and techs. Bottom line: Always ask questions. Always ask for a discount. And always do your own research. Don't just take their first quote at face value. read more

My experience at McKenna Audi in Norwalk has been nothing short of a nightmare. * I was overcharged for repairs: $1,238.64 for rear brakes, and $875.42 for rear shocks and coolant hoses. * After that work was completed, my service rep Allen immediately called to say I needed another $2,000 worth of work. * I requested a copy of all my service records from service manager Ron Reed. I was told it would take one week, but it's now been three weeks and I'm still waiting. * To make matters worse, money was stolen from my center console during service. They promised to reimburse me $10.50 or look into it further, but I have yet to see anything done. * Now, my passenger door doesn't unlock with the fob after leaving their shop. * And the original issue I brought my car in for -- a clicking noise when making a left turn -- is still there. I paid thousands of dollars, lost money from my car, and ended up with even more problems than before. This dealership has shown a complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and honesty. This is the worst service department ever!!!!! You would think all the Audi dealerships would have the same great customer service, but no this one is the absolute lowest !!!! A minus 10. I have a recall on this Q5 and yesterday had a loud screaming error message come up w while I was on the freeway. Tire pressure on all tires!!! So I pulled off and looked, tires looked OK, but wth?? I was scared and drove home in the slow lane. I called them and a man in the service dept. said go to a gas station and have them check the tire pressures. What gas station does that??? Called when I got home to make appointment to bring it in. Gal said tomorrow at 9.40. Then I asked how long it would take and she said no more than a couple of hours. For the recall (which she reminded me of) and the tire pressure error and I have another one that's been coming up for a long time. Traffic assist, not working, see owners manual. So I come in today, and David says ok so you're dropping off the car??? Why, I said it's only going to be an hour or so. No, he says, the recall takes 6 hours. What?? Ok, where's a loaner car??? No, we don't have any and you were told about that. He doesn't give one crap, that I took my time today to come here. And just doesn't care at all. Worst customer service ever!!!! I purchased my car at Orange South Coast, they are what you think service should be. Never have to wait, helpful people and ALWAYS a loaner car, for every service!!!! And a great beverage center, with snacks. This Norwalk Audi has a tiny coffee machine and a couple of packets of sugar and some crappy cream. Just junk!!! Also, they CHARGE YOU TO USE YOUR CREDIT CARD!!!!!!!!! 3%. JUST BS. read more
