I was part of a group of 12 people on a peddle pub hit by a drunk driver. 3 of the people injured, including myself, filed claims with the driver's insurance. After a follow-up phone call with a firm representative, I decided not to proceed. In my opinion, the tone of the call came across as dismissive, condescending, impatient, and unnecessarily defensive. One specific concern was that my final clarification questions were characterized on the call as "another 20 questions," even though my understanding was that I had sent a focused list of approximately 10 practical questions before signing. That characterization felt exaggerated and dismissive to me. I also did not feel comfortable being encouraged to sign the representation agreement first and discuss certain concerns afterward. For me, that was a major red flag. Before signing any legal agreement involving sensitive medical records, disability benefits, SSDI, unemployment, and possible litigation, I need clear written answers and a communication style that feels respectful and aligned. I did not sign the agreement and chose to seek other counsel.

The legal assistant assured us that the lead attorney (Dan Lieber) insisted that she had a strong case and that she would be successful in her claim and they were totally confident of a large insurance company payout, tens of thousands of dollars. Our daughter was advised not to work for the term of the case (approx. one year) , to keep a diary and follow all instructions from the law firm, which she did. Mr. Lieber told her not to attend the court hearing & she never did get to meet the attorney face to face. We made several attempts to reach the legal assistant but she just seemed to disappear. Our daughter received a total of $200 for her troubles and lost a years worth of work. We have no idea what the insurance company paid Metro Law. Our daughter still suffers from concussions, neck and back injury and a hearing disability. We cannot recommend this firm.

He purposefully tries to drag the claims on so that he can keep getting a cut of your wage loss and other fees that work comp pays him. He is unethical, I have voicemail of him yelling at me because I was pulled over for not signaling a lane change, the police officer asks me about my arm I tell him its broken a non union. I was driving my cousins car running to redbox. My cousin has been in trouble before so they ask me to get out of the car. i do as I walked back to his vehicle The officer grabbed my arm and pulled them back to search me . i yelled out and he said what I have to make sure you dont have any weapons on you. i said my arm i just told you its broken. He ran my name and let me go with no ticket. My arm swelled up and I couldnt move it at all. I called scott let him know what happen, he left voicemail yelling at me saying "I have enough work right now with your claim, I dont need anymore by bringing in the police injuring your arm any further". I still have this voicemail as a reminder to take your time to research the attorney. He is bad news. Every time I see his website another person partners with him then, I can only assume when they get to know him and how he handles things no ethical attorney wants to be attached to that.
