The women's store can be accessed from Level 1 and the Men's on Level 2 (You can just walk up / down a flight of stairs if you need both), both stores provide excellent fashions that will keep everyone looking. I've shopped here a few times (hundreds of times at marcs in general), I just love their designs, they stand out but still remain minimalist, there's no tacky writing across shirts, it's all about stripes and shapes, plain and simple. Their pricing is pretty is not cheap, but it's nothing crazy. Well worth a shop if you like well designed, quality items. I've held onto every garment i've bought from Marcs, because their designs are so fresh yet minimilist, you can wear them at different occasions, for (i'd like to think) ever.

My poor feet had been hurting from all the walking and travelling that I've been doing. Because I had already worn down my former Orthaheel sandals, I was due for a new pair. Shoes are great, but living in Hawaii and California for nearly all my life has conditioned me to wear sandals on a regular basis. I needed something quick, easy, and comfortable when I head out the door. The Walking Company provided many options for that! Many shoe stores I've visited rarely stocked orthopedic footwear- the only exception being the podiatrist clinic. Unfortunately, there is not much selection in design in such places. While my primary aim was to find orthopedic sandals, I also had a strong preference with ones with pretty designs. Although I have a foot problem, I don't necessarily want to advertise it to the world! Some footwear brands, such as Vionic and Orthaheel, offer this extra feature. I like the illusion of wearing cute sandals that don't look like orthopedic crutches. If I'm going to be spending extra money on special sandals, they best look nice! In actuality, I didn't have to spend extra money for nice sandals at The Walking Company! They were having a sale and much of their shoe prices were reduced. A pair of Ahnu sandals that originally costed $149 were on sale for only $89. The prices are still a little steep for me, but most orthopedic footwear is expensive. This was a pretty good deal. Also, they have a return/exchange policy that's pretty good. You can try out the shoes and see how it feels at home for a few days, and if it's not the right fit you are welcome to return it. The staff was really helpful and friendly! I am probably the most indecisive person in the world! It takes a while for me to decide what I really want. When it comes to making a decision that's going to affect your daily life (i.e. shoes, sandals), you want to make sure it's a worthy investment, right? The lady helping me was very attentive and wasn't put off by my lack of decision-making skills. After spending a while deciding between all the options, I decided to check out the Ahnu sandals. It can definitely be difficult to find shoes that's just the right fit. If you want a wide selection of footwear, I would definitely recommend this place. They cater to both men and women. The Walking Company stock the largest range of Merrell's that I have been able to find which is probably why I keep coming back here. I was immediately greeted and assisted by a very friendly and helpful sales person. Given my wide feet and high instep I can be a bit difficult to fit. However, she was quite knowledgeable about all of the shoes in their specific features and immediately directed me to a shoe that fit perfectly. She even offered me an additional discount because I was in town on work. Unlikely that I will find myself "down under" in need of shoes again, but if I do, I would absolutely visit this location again.

This is one of my favourite Gorman stores in Melbourne. The range is pretty much the same as everywhere else but it stands out as one of the better ones for a few good reasons. 1 - it's big, with a huge change room area that feels a little more discreet at the back of the store, meaning you can come in and out of the change room and strut your stuff in front of the mirror. 2 - it seems to attract a really fun clientele who are all happy to comment on each others outfits and give advice and compliments whilst doing said strutting. 3 - the staff! They are my main reason for coming to the Windsor store. I love that they remember me, know what shapes suit my body and love playing dress up with me. Lucy and Julia are terrific and are exactly the kind of sales assistant you want - they always ask what I "need" in my wardrobe and are great at suggesting I try different combinations and things "just for fun" rather than with a focus on having me spend more than I intend to. Love love love.

Their pieces are fairly pricey but they are absolute classics and will be staples in your fashion collection for years to come. There is nothing not to love. When my friend and I went in, we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff who were happy to go above an beyond in finding an outfit that we would be happy with. Pulling out belts from here, socks and shoes from there... etc. You'll soon be addicted, too! x

Halsinky Project also stocks non-sartorial stuff such as a range of MOR skincare and accessories by awesome London headwear label Chapeau Claudette. So it's not all bad. If your style is short, bright and playful, you're likely to love Halsinky Project. If your taste is more avant garde, minimalist or at the more 'Melbourne' end of the spectrum? I'd hazard a guess that Halsinky Project won't be for you.

Since 2008, this beloved store (which is the brainchild of two sisters) has been a popular destination for fashion forward lovers. The store also stocks a wide variety of hats and head gear and are exclusive stockists for London based head label Tour De Force and Chapeau Claudette. Other great labels to look out for include Lowie Knitwear, Stella and Minx basics, Pipduck gumboots, Only Midge leather bags, Oktoberdee handmade accessories and Powershovel cameras. I love the wide variety of dresses - from cheeky sun dresses to streamlined but trendy work wear and sexy cocktail dresses. When ever I need a new dress, this is my number one place to go to.
