Worst hospital ever. They don't care about you as a patient and treat people horribly and make you wait. The nurses have horrible attitudes and only one Dr I liked. I went back in 2019 after collasping while running. I thought I was having a heart attack or stroke I was having chest pains. Thank God I wasn't having a heart attack they made me wait 20 mins for an EKG cardiogram and thank God it was normal. Turned out I had low potassium and low sodium. They gave me potassium ivs and they don't even know how to put in an IV I have tiny veins but I left all bruised smh. Also one of the Drs gave me a sodium pill and it made my sodium to high and it was scary . Had to go back and get a shot and the chinese Dr was very nice forgot her name said he was wrong to give me the sodium pill after that I would never go and would rather drive 35 mins to novant hospital. Would not recommend this hospital at all. Never again. read more

6 days for treatment of diverticulitis. 12 nurses and assistants. All were incredible! Treated me as though I was their mom! Terrible experience at Novant in Bolivia in the past made this place even more outstanding! read more

I LOVE McLeod Seacoast(hospital). I had a procedure there this morning and it was smooth as silk! Total time from check-in to checkout was an hour. Dr. Mijalli was so nice. Everyone from the nurses to volunteers are so caring and nice. read more

DO NOT CALL THEM! No matter where you live, it would be faster to walk there than to get hold of anybody with a phone call. I had to return a call, press #1 patient.. #1 appt.. rang and rang for what seemed forever....no answer. I called back. Pressed for Billing (so I might be lucky enough to get hold of someone) ...same thing... no answer. Called back... Medical records (same reason as above)...again, same thing...no answer. DOES ANYBODY MAN THE PHONES? This is a health facility and the response time for any matter is absolutely pathetic and of the poorest quality. On a brighter note, the staff and doctors (once you can get an appt providing you don't die before they answer the phone) are satisfactory. read more

I now see Amanda Kanipe for my general care needs and she is amazing, she really cares about her patients and takes the time to listen to you. Amanda has made the effort to get me to the specialists I need and actually shows concern for the type of care I receive. She's also very helpful and understanding. The care I receive here is always amazing , the staff at the front desk are always so pleasant and knowledgeable. read more

my wife and I were visiting friends in Calabash last week when she had a Afib major problem and after being reviewed by doctors and staff in the emergency area she was admitted. She ended up being admitted for three days with excellent care from the nurses and doctors. she and I cannot express how well she was treated by everyone involved with her care. The staff was nice and cared for my wifey but the have to do what the doctor's tell them to do any medicines anything has to be authorized by the doctor. I would like to have a recommendation to anybody always check the places that you go before you're going now even if it's an emergency when you get there check their status and leave if you have to take your loved one where somebody's going to care about them cuz once they're gone they ain't never coming back read more

I came to the hospital today because my brother was admitted to the ER and is currently in ICU. I was told by my mom that the security guard, whose name is Eric (would not give me a last name), had approached them in the waiting room for no reason. But as soon as she was called upstairs for some paperwork for my brother, this same security guard, Eric, told me that I had to clear the room for another family for their consultation eventhough my mom's belongings were still there. I left the room and have been in the waiting area for over 30 minutes and no one else has entered the room. I want to file a formal complaint because I feel that he did not ask any questions as I informed him of my brother's situation and I feel discriminated against as I drove all the way from Columbia to find out about my brother and to be treated like this is an insult. read more

McLeod Seacoast Hospital has always treated myself & my family very well. All of the staff are friendly & did all they could to accommodate. The doctors are top notch in my opinion! I'd much rather been seen at Seacoast than Grand Strand! I accompanied my Mom to Grand Strand emergency 6 times this year & not once was there a room for her! She was treated (undressed )in the aisles & it took hours. At Seacoast she was provided a room, received immediate quality care, & kept her dignity. read more

Worst primary care. Cant get in, they refuse telehealth for basic appts, not friendly, not helpful or caring. Avoid NP Megan Lentz, she is uncooperative for fun and is apparently opposed to technology. Its 2024, keep up. second time at Radiolog, tell you to come 15 mins early for registration (where they make you wait). Send you down hall and make you sit for about an hour past your appointment time still not being seen yet (not busy at all). when you complain they tell you they are doing the best they can. poor hospitality, poor consideration toward customers. would not recommend coming here at all. my care and mcleod seacoast was absolutely exceptional. Dr. neighbors help me through one of the most difficult times in my life. I had such pain I couldn't sleep couldn't eat after my surgery. I am back to the woman I used to be. I am so thankful to Dr. neighbors the staff at mcleod hospital, and all the wonderful smiles that I get when I step in and I leaveas a new person and happy to be alive. I have moved from Chicago with many major hospitals, without any qualification McLeod is the best option in the area. The service is performed with a gentile southern spirit which is wonderful. As for the doctors, these are the best in the area. My doctor is very straight forward with me and the expertise in the area and either recommends someone he trusts or says you may need to travel to another market. That the best I can ask and trust his opinion. read more

My husband went to McLeod for a routine colonoscopy, Jan. 5. In their endoscopy department, we were greeted with a waiting room big enough to hold 4 comfortably, there were 4 people there,so plan on standing during your wait. The receptionists window was covered with cloth...so no communication available. After he was prepped for the procedure, we were told someone would come get him in a few minutes...we waited THREE HOURS. In that time, no one checked in/explained the delay (Once again, no communication allowed) we spent a total of 7 hours in the hospital that day, much too long in our opinion. Their comment cards? An employee will give you a comment card, you fill it out before you leave the facility (no mail-in options available), hand it back to the employee who can then read it (not sealed), and do with it what they wish (trashcan?). We will never return. Find Somewhere else, folks. read more

Scheduled an appointment for an annual physical. My original doctor left so they said I needed an appoinment to establish care with another doctor which insurance did not pay for. I went but their computer systems were down so Dr Hu decided we should just do this the next month. I did go to that next appointment. I was then charged for two appointments out of pocket to "establish care" and lost a half days of work twice with no actual physical. I just went to schedule my next annual physical and was told she is 9 months out for them but they would be happy to make an appointment with another doctor to "establish care" Don't waste your time trying to get in. They apparently are happy to take a million new patients none of which can actually get care. read more

Great doctor and care but billing is very weak and wrong charges billed to patient. McLeod's digestive health center and billing has no contact number and the portal is not responsive. Check your explanation of benefits for payments made to the digestive health center, the may be billing you for services you do not owe. read more

Make sure you are waiting a long time to get service. I was there 10 days and seen a DR. only twice. Now I have been home 17 days and still do not have my discharge papers. Waited 3 hrs. for a wheelchair to discharge me and it never showed up. Sent signed paperwork to hospital to approve my discharge papers being released and I'm still waiting. All they seem to care about is billing the insurance companies. This facility needs a complete overhaul, things just do not work in the best interest of the patients. I will pursue this issue as time goes on, they just did NOT do a very good job of treating me. Oh, but they had golf carts to take you to your car in the parking lot. But you have to find your own wheelchair and remove yourself from the room................ read more

This Hospital is the worst. Have already waited 4 hours in ER and still have not been seen by a doctor. My wife is in severe pain and her vitals were not taken for the first 2 hours she was here. Cat scan taken and 2 hours later still no doctor. Brand new hospital but very poor ER care. Find another hospital if you can. read more
