Took my dog there to have her nails trimmed (we've learned through the years she needs a mild sedative for this) When we picked her up we had a 500$ bill and a dog who was barely breathing and could not stand on her own for 21 hours! Started going to this vet because it was close to my house when my cat got sick one weekend; the care we received was exceptional. We were not rushed although we didn't have an appointment ahead and they were very thorough as well as considerate of our budget without making us feel guilty for what we couldn't afford. Our cat ended up diagnosed with IBS and this became our regular vet. They continued to be very helpful and our cat absolutely loved them. We received treatment there for a couple of years and in the past 6 months our beloved cat was diagnosed with lung cancer; again we received exceptional care during the time we kept her home and managed meds right until the day we had to put her down. They were so caring and thoughtful during the process of putting her down and never once made us feel rushed to leave after. I would recommend this clinic to any family or friends. read more

They were friendly and straight forward with all information regarding the injuries and procedures involved with treatment. They also provided a very reasonable quote. We have brought our 2 senior cats and 1 senior Husky dog to McLeod Clinic for care this past month after hearing good things about them from one of neighbours - she was totally right! The friendly front office staff warmly greets you immediately upon your entry, and proceed to take information to get the appointment started. The technicians are thorough and considerate of your needs and concerns, and the doctors explain everything in clear and concise language. We were especially concerned about our 15 year old cat that needed extensive dental treatment, but Dr. Jason was careful in assessing his needs, and took special precaution when it was discovered that our cat also had a heart murmur. The surgery went well, for which we are so thankful. The clinic is spotless - no bad smells, and the temperature inside was blessedly cool - especially since some clinics skimp on the a/c when it gets hot OUTSIDE. They also allow one "pet parent" to accompany their pet for appointments during this time of social distancing, as long as you wear a mask. That means SO VERY MUCH, considering other clinics will NOT allow you to even enter their clinic. They go above and beyond to care not only for your animal babies, but for the "pet parents" as well. They are dedicated to make sure your pet is healthy and answer all your questions. Everything about this clinic is great, The staff when you arrive is friendly, the Dr's take their time, offer options if there is an issue and completely understand that the cost of vet visiits is a concern for many people. Our Dog Remi is a Standard Poodle and can be very anxious at times and he LOVES coming to this clinic. He knows he is going to be treated with love and treats. I take my dog (Dr Allison Bowles) and my kitten (Dr. Jason Kellsey) to McLeod Vet Hospital. My dog is a young toy poodle and is a very shy dog. Super hesitant of new people and places. But The staff and the doctors are so understanding and treat her accordingly and yet so affectionately. I simply love both the doctors I see. I just got a new kitten 7 weeks old. I was really worried for his visit to the vet/outside home. But the doctors and staff were simple amazing. He wasn't scared at all. He got his first shot and yet licking and playing with me after.. My husband and I have 2 cats and a dog. We've just recently got the dog, but have been taking the cats to this vet for about 2 years. The service has been wonderful. The staff is very helpful and really cares about our animals. They have laser surgery for neutering animals (which we are doing with our dog on Friday). They say that this proceedure will almost be bloodless. Great vet! I'd recommend to everyone. read more

Yesterday, my 90 yr-old Mom said it was the "Best Day of her Life". I returned her 15 yr-old cat, Angel, to her. McLeod Veterinary did laser surgery and removed cancer from Angel's ear and nose the previous day. My mom lives 3 hrs from Winnipeg and I had taken Angel to her closest vet in Minnedosa. She could not do laser surgery but suggested taking pictures and finding someone where we live. We took photos, returned home and found McLeod. We sent over the photos and Dr. Newfield agreed to take the case. He saved Angel's life and I think he saved my Mom's too. Angel and Mom need each other. McLeod Veterinary did a fantastic job and I cannot find enough words to say Thank You. read more
