Maybe they are incredibly skilled lawyers. I didn't get to work with them thanks to the amazingly rude callback I received. I got a call from someone who told me: "Hi, this is Scott." (From??) I asked which law firm he was from, as I had called and left messages with a few that day regarding the same matter. The response I got was "This is Scott McMillan.", in the most self-important tone you can imagine. It wasn't a terribly clear telephone call as I was driving and I asked if he could call me back or I could call him back shortly. I was told no, you can pull over if you want to talk to me. I found Scott by looking at on line reviews on AVVO. I had called three other attorneys that were not interested in my case and told me I didn't have a chance. When I met with Scott, he listened and even though he did not promise that I had a case, he thought that I had at least a chance of prevailing. I liked the fact that he was very blunt and straightforward about what I could and could not do in my case and what would be helpful and what would not be helpful. We had our initial meeting and the next day he called me with some more thoughts on the case and how he thought I should preceed. He gave me some "homework" to do because he said that it would be cheaper for me to write down the details and such of the case and then he reviewed it and made some changes. I did prevail, but I would have given a good review regardless because of the time and attention he gave me and my case. If I had stopped after talking to the first three attorneys I talked to, then I would have lost a lot of money. A small local law firm with exceptional service. The attorney is not only personable, knowledgeable, but he also returns your calls and / or emails personally and in a timely manner. His assistant is just as quick in assisting to your every need. They successfully completed a contract issue with a local automobile dealership - even though the dealership was fraudulent and tried to repossess my car. His rates were fair - I think he even gave me a discount. Any other atty fees attached to this case will be paid y the dealership. I have also referred this firm to a friend for a Bankruptcy matter, and have an issue to discuss with them re: the San Diego Water Department.
