Six estimates later and we landed on Sawmill Fence. Jim came out and we spoke, a very nice normal working man. His price happened to be the lowest but close enough to other prices not to think low price = poor job. I selected Sawmill on price and Jim's knowledge and personality. The customer service was excellent. He was responsive to questions I had between estimate and work, he gave me information about products and what I can expect to get for my money. He was spot on when he could start and finish (4 days). It would have been 3 days but weather a small factor one day. Fence looks great, solid and I have neighbors asking me who did it and share Sawmills information with them. The only reason I am not giving Sawmill Fence 5 stars is that I would reserve that for "if" there is a problem or something needs attention to within reasonable time of install, I would like to see how that pans out. As for Jean i's poor review, it is not the responsibility of Sawmill Fence to obtain a permit, it is and always will be the homeowner's responsibility to be knowledgeable of the rules in any municipality I have lived in.

We picked a stock shed 12x16 onsite since we had a current cinder block base in the yard. Someone came to the house to see if we could use the current base and decided we needed only stone work done. We also used Nick for fence post removal and he was responsive and priced reasonable. The team quickly removed the unnecessary cinder blocks and elevated the base for the stone (important to us since we need drainage). They even put grass seed down and cleaned up the yard. The shed itself was easy for delivery (we didn't have to be home). It looks great in the yard and is very well made! There were two numbers on the sign and the one I called Greg answered and asked me to call the other number and leave a message. I did and never heard back. I have called both numbers at least 4-6 times in the last month or so leaving multiple messages and still nothing. I assumed the sign they put up in the persons lawn was to bring in new business but I guess I was wrong. I can't speak for the work this company does but their customer service and response is horrible. I won't say don't use them I'll just say don't bother cause you won't hear back.
