I am honestly shocked to read the previous reviews on here. This has not been our experience in the…read moreslightest. Myself and my partner have dealt with Hamptons a good few times over the past couple years for our rental properties. Each time, the team has been professional, honest about pricing and timing and they have left the areas spotless. The last time we dealt with Hamptons, we were looking for a specific carpet that their regular suppliers don't have, yet Joe and his team went above and beyond to source it elsewhere for us. Honestly couldn't fault them. I wish they did property management as we have not been so lucky in that department!! Thank you Hamptons, would recommend yous again and again!!

Avoid this business at all costs! I can describe Hampton Floor Store and the owner (Joe…read morePrendergast) and crew (John and his men) in three words...unprofessional, incompetent, and unethical. We own a flat that currently has tenants in it and we wanted to do the flooring all throughout before they moved out and before we showed it to new tenants. I made it very clear to Joe we were on a time crunch and wanted it done fast. We wanted carpeting in parts of the flat and flooring in others as well as new baseboards all throughout. I had it very clearly written in my quote. First, they had to delay the installation. Fine! Second they messed up where they were suppose to replace the carpet in certain areas they put flooring instead. Fine! Third, I find out from my tenants that instead of removing old flooring in the kitchen they just laid the new flooring over it. Joe and his crew leader John both said you wouldn't ever remove tile to put new flooring. Although I know that is not true because we have had that done just recently in our house. I said ok fine. I was so patient with their incompetence. They kept lying about showing up at certain times and kept inconveniencing our tenants over and over again to the point where they are considering taking their own action. They had us put down over 2/3 of the deposit up front and they said the rest would be due to the crew upon completion in cash. Well the day they told us they would finish, and insisted on payment that very day, our baby happened to get violently ill. I told the crew leader that over the phone and that our tenants would give them the cash. Our tenants were stuck in a bind so they just gave them the cash, but when we showed up the next day we saw that not only had they took the money and not finished the job but they did horrible work all throughout the flat. We paid for skirting boards everywhere and the didn't install it in three different rooms. There were gaps between the wall and where the flooring ended all throughout the place. Also they put bars of different shapes, sizes, and colors, all throughout the place. Not only did this look really awful, but some of them were very jagged and sharp and would pose a danger to people walking on it. I told Joe all of this and he told me "oh it's not that it's bad it's just not finished. They'll come back and finish." Why did we pay if they were not done??? ok fine. I put my trust in Joe that he would sort it out. It was a Tuesday and he said they would get it done by the end of the week. The week went by and no one came back. I reached out to Joe again and he said he would tell them to come back and complete the job and fix the issues. Well another week went by and no one showed. Then after that Joe just started ignoring me. I messaged him on their google messaging system, I e-mailed him, I sent him a text message, I sent him a WhatsApp message, I left a voicemail message on his mobile phone and the store phone and he ignored me in every single way. It's been a month now with no resolve. We will now have to pay thousands to correct this. We will be taking them to court to get our money back.
