Some are more known for their high end stock, others for a great variety of wine, and a few are known for grand and vast craft beer options. D's stands out for the variety and unique selections. They seem to have a few items that I've never seen before, which is a great way to keep me coming back. They even doubled down on one bottle recently. They got one version of it, then the next time I was in there they had two more, longer aged varietals. Also, they always seem to have some sort of tasting happening at the store. They do a great job managing so many, and with alerting folks that one is coming up. From a customer perspective, it's great to be able to give a newer liquor a shot, before dropping some serious bones on a bottle.

As a matter of fact, their store pick of Bhatka 1928 is now my favorite spirit that stays front and center on the bar. (So good I now have 3 bottles). The folks in there have always been super friendly and welcoming. And, they have the absolute largest sampling selection in Knoxville. As a plus, they're happy to have you sample. I'm not going to lie - the outside of the building looks a little rough, but just a little TLC would fix that and the people are wonderful. If you have the opportunity, stop and see them! We walked in 30 minutes after they opened, with about ten other jovial people. The staff was still entering in skew codes, so check out was delayed. No one cared. Why? Because it is still quicker than driving several towns away, and it was obvious they wanted to be able to serve the throng of people who had been stopping by all day. They were very kind, and warned us that there could be delays, as soon as we walked in the door. No worries, And welcome to the neighborhood! This shop will be happy to special order in your favorite vino or spirits. I was most supposed to see a decent wine selection, including some choice picks, as well as top shelf liquor I can not find in Morristown. Conveniently located off Highway 92, near the tire and tow shops, it is an easy run from both Dandridge and Jefferson City. In fact, they are not raised at all. Cristy's maintains an incredible and unusually wide selection of bourbon. They stock excellent whiskey/whiskies from distillers that few people have ever heard of, to some of the most sought after and difficult to obtain bottles that can be found on store shelves. These bourbons, like all of Cristy's other products, are heavily discounted. In addition to their excellent prices, Cristy's also offers tastings, brand ambassadors, food truck events, and some (definitely not all) very knowledgeable staff. For convenience, they also sell mixers, fruit garnishes, and cigars.

Not much of a Blanton's fan but they had Blantons and Weller SR (green label, also not a favorite of mine) that was sold out. The staff is helpful, patient, and makes the trip worth it. The whole demeanor of the store is relaxed without pressure to buy anything; I appreciate that element because I know what I want and if I have questions I'll ask them. Maybe even "Charlie finding the golden ticket" level. Best part about it: this store is in Virgina, so you get Virginia beer distributors...you can get beer here that you can't even get in Nashville! They usually have a great selections of seasonals, my only worry is that some of the more esoteric brews (think Belgians and sours) may be sitting on the shelf awhile... Wine selection and domestic beer selection is also unparalleled for the area. They even rent kegs! (advance order only) They have a facebook page and they've responded to all of my requests for updates on the inventory and they post new arrivals fairly frequently. The owner even drives hours away to pick up some of the rarer beers (THANKS!). Staff is marginally knowledgeable about the products, so do you research prior to coming.

Just called in the order (4 half gallons of Evan Williams for me, 36 wine coolers for ol'Sapph), and them boys bring it right out to ya. Very clean and hygienic way of doing business. Only problem was they couldn't get my credit card to scan and had to manually enter it. That's not a knock on them though. It probably had to do with the fact that I'd been using it to get a few scoops of mayonnaise out the jar on the way there. Ran out of spoons and must've not gotten it all licked off good. Anyways, 5 star rating for caring about there customers and providing a clean and hygienic shopping experience. #thedukeapproves
