He did my foot surgery. He is very good Dr. Would recommend him to every one.He tells you what's wrong and explains what needs to be done.

I saw the doctor for Morton's neuroma a total of 4 times. 1st visit, he literally threw away my very expensive arch supports and taped foam to my feet. My second and 3rd visits he gave me cortisone shots in my foot. The second shot triggered complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). When he suggested a 3rd shot on my last visit, I had a panic attack from the thought of the pain I had from the two other shots. I thought I was having a heart attack. Dr. McShane immediately left the room without a word! He sent his secretary in to tell me I wouldn't be billed for the visit and that I had RSDS (now called CRPS) and needed to see a pain management specialist. I saw a much better podiatrist who confirmed the CRPS diagnosis (as did my primary doctor) and had me back to using arch supports. When I requested my records to be sent to the new doctor and my primary, the request was ignored. When I applied for disability and the state requested the records, the request was ignored. My lawyer asked and was ignored. Finally I called the Attorney General's office to ask my options for getting my records and was advised to send a certified letter demanding my records or I would sue them. When I finally got the records, the office manager tried to shame me and charged me the full amount allowed by the state. I was told that they normally don't release records until the doctor retired. I reminded her that they are MY records and the LAW states I am legally entitled to my records within 30 days of requesting them, regardless of their office policies. So not only did I become disabled by a doctor who walks around with shots in his shirt pocket and has hideous bedside manners, I also had to threaten legal action just to have another doctor and my primary see what my diagnosis was so I could have continuity of care. I have a long history of foot issues including a bone infection in my foot and foot wound! I have been to other podiatrist in the area and did not like any of them! Dr McShane was recommended to me by my brace provider because I was not happy with my doctors handling of my brace and foot care! I wished i had found this office sooner! I like Dr. McShane's approach to podiatry! He listened to me, offered solutions and a treatment plan! I also developed a foot wound due to my brace malfunctioning! Dr McShane helped me heal the wound very quick. When my brace provider gave me a difficult time processing my insurance and I had to change brace providers, Dr. McShanes staff bent over backwards to help me navigate my issues! This is a great office with modern treatment options but with an old school approach to patient care! They are patient centered and takes time to address your needs! read more

I was with my mother for her appointment. It was awful my mother has back problems and had trouble sitting in their chair. We tried to explain but it fell on deaf ears both to the doctor and his staff. The doctor was in the middle of cutting her toenails when my cellphone made a noise; the doctor put down his scissors and walk out of the room! We had waited for him and I thought his behavior was very rude. Getting into his office was difficult at best. We will not be using Dr MC Shane he has a ocd problem and was Not impressed. read more

After reading the reviews I still decided to schedule an appointment here because it was listed on my insurance provider's website. I called on Wednesday, made the appointment, and explained I had ripped my toe nail almost off of the nail bed. Right after scheduling appointment I faxed over front and back of my insurance card. I called back on Friday (they were suppose to call me back) to confirm receipt of fax and if my insurance was accepted and they didn't know. I called again on Monday to check to see if my insurance was accepted and they said that it was and that everything was good to go. Tuesday day of my appointment which is was at 1pm I receive a phone call at 1048am on my cell and work number and when I return the call I was told they did not accept my insurance. So, I called my insurance and confirmed that they are listed. I called office back and was provided this abbreviated explanation, they do not take my insurance because they reimburse very little for services, process claims very slowly, and they have requested to be removed from my insurance list years ago. I waited for my appointment here and could of called another office and scheduled one. From my interaction with this office I'm fairly confident that the negative star ratings and previous reviews are correct. They made no recommendations on how I could receive help or where I can go to get assistance....they could of said the ER or something. All they seem to care about is money (if you go to this location I would recommend reviewing claims and bills very carefully; something just doesn't seem right about this place) and quantity of patients they can get and not quality. I booked another appointment with another podiatrist and thankfully they had one available in three days. read more

I find the office staff to be friendly and polite. Dr. McShane examined me and then explained what is going on with my feet and ankles in a way that I could understand. He answers questions without an attitude like some doctors. He does not rush your appointment. Yes, just like all doctors he will leave the room if you are not polite with your cell phone or if you leave to use the restroom or if you are getting ex-rays, but he will come back whereas some doctors will reschedule your appointment. Dr. McShane is kind and patient when he gives an injection. He will talk you through it to ease you nerves. I like him as my foot and ankle doctor! read more

Horrible experience with this clinic. The front desk coordinator Tonya was completely out of line in the way she handled my husband's appointment. He took off work for a doctor's visit and ended up leaving without being seen by the doctor, because they wanted to charge a $50 co pay when we had already met our deductible. Even after my insurance called and verified that they would pay EVERYTHING at 100%. Tonya was rude, disrespectful, and thought because she was 56 she could talk down to me (the CUSTOMER). I'm sure Dr. McShane is a wonderful doctor but after dealing with his office staff, we will never return to this clinic. read more

I had a great experience with this Dr. He has done 2 mini surgeries on my foot for different reasons. I found that he was easy to talk to and ask my questions, without being patronizing. He explained the options and why he was recommending one kind of treatment over the other. Making the appointment, checking in and checking out all went smoothly and everybody was very nice to me.
