I came in to do a drug screening. That was done. But when I asked if I could see the doctor for a question I had about my lower back they said that would require an $85 fee. I thought that was expensive but either way I just was seeking professional advice. The doctor came in and I can guarantee our conversation was only about max 3 minutes. She practically didn't check me at all, she just asked if I had issues before, and then said I should go see a specialist. She then told me if I felt more pain she could prescribe some medications. Ok fine. I didn't need anything, just some professional advice on how to treat my back, and I was told to go see someone else or take medicine... but fine I paid the $85 and left. I am now receiving in the mail an additional $140 charge for the 3 minute pointless conversation...THIS IS ABSURD. read more

Physicians assistant did no exam whatsoever. Primary complaint tooth, gums, neck pain due to possible infection. PA did not palpate or look inside my mouth. Did not touch me or do any type of physical exam. Didn't even ask which tooth it was that started bothering me. Just prescribed medication including antibiotic and pain reliever/ anti inflammatory. Clinical summary listed a bodyweight, which they must have just taken off of my drivers license. It is not my current weight; they never weighed me. They documented a pain level of 4/10 which is interesting because they didn't even ask me what my pain level was. This are serious oversights for a so called "medical professional". I feel lied to. I went there for an employment drug screening last week and the first woman said "neither of us can do that" referring to her and the nurse that was standing in the hallway. She called that nurse in to ask when another employee would be in who can do it. But when that other nurse came to the counter it changed to "our system is down for that service" I said okay, not your fault. Nothing you can do about the system being down... but mind you, the first nurse made it seem like the specific staff on hand didn't have the authority/training to do it. My recruiter gave me a one time extension and issued the request a week later and said I had to go to this location that day in order to get the job. I call ahead. It's a call center on a recorded line. She's filled in on the "system being down" and contacts the specific location. They tell their colleague on this recorded line that it's no problem, everything's fine. I head down to the office and what do you know... "systems down" Conspiracy theory time: I don't believe that to be true and I don't entirely blame the staff. HCA owns this place and they are always profits over people and overwork their employees. Wouldn't put it past them to not offer any training and understaff them all the time to the point where they can't actually do their jobs. As a medical establishment this is unacceptable and I recommend everyone avoid anything affiliated with HCA. They are dangerous if you actually need medical attention and they don't deserve our "business" when they notoriously and consistently put profits over people Anyway.. go to arcpoint labs. Service advertises WALK INs, yey is profoundly understaffed and a two hour wait got us down to number four in que as we watched MANY MANY oeople who arrived AFTER us go in and emerge half an hour later. My husband was seen at the MD NOW Urgent Care facility on Fruitville Rd in Sarasota, FL, by a relatively young Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the morning of 2/6/24 for a burn injury on the back of his left hand that occurred during the previous evening. The burn involved the back of his thumb and first two fingers which was caused by liquid that had been heated in a microwave on high setting for 7 minutes. At the time of the visit with the NP, there was no blistering of the skin but there were several dusky areas. There was no pain. The NP insisted that the injury was a first degree burn because if the burn were second-degree in severity, there would already be blistering, and she made it clear that the injured area should only be treated as a first-degree burn. When I questioned the NP, she seemed to become irritated and stated that the injury was like a serious sunburn. On the evening of the same day of the initial visit (2/6/24), there were already several areas of blistering of the skin. I called the Urgent care facility and told the receptionist of the blistering. She gave this information to the NP who stated that even though the skin is blistering, the injury is still a first-degree burn. My concern is that the injury is actually a second degree burn which may lead to scarring over the thumb and finger joints and, thus, would require early effective than simply washing with soap and tap water and application of bacitracin as recommended by the NP. I am extremely unsatisfied with the care that I believe was inadequate. I do NOT recommend this facility because of the reasons stated above. Another issue is that the name of the urgent care facility is "MD NOW" but only an NP was available to see my husband. read more

Terrible to say at least. The whole point for me to go to this place was to get some testing done, as they say they offer on their website. But went there just to be told that they don't offer any labs, the x-ray person only goes there once a week, lack of staff. This place is a total disaster. You go there to save money and get something done, but end up wasting your money. At this very moment this is only an "I feel like "this", you get this prescription" type of place. Then they gave to the PA a totally different description of my symptoms, so they can take my money instead of telling me to go somewhere else since we can't help you. Incredibly dishonest and heartless place. Definitely come here only if you have insurance and want a prescription, that's it. read more

This review is for the md care in Port Charlotte,Fl. Would give zero stars if I could. My mom went there to get an evaluation for my baby sisters dislocated finger. Turns out she ended up waiting over 3 hours, and the staff was nothing but rude almost screaming at her and blaming her for a bad x-ray photo which of course my mom didn't make the photo, she went to another clinic for it. She came home upset and crying. If only I have been there... i never right reviews on anything but this was just out of hand. The staff was super friendly as soon as I walked through the door! They got me in and out as soon as they could and I really respected that, usually these type of places take forever. They prescribed and gave me exactly what I needed and didn't try to throw in anything extra. Super great establishment and staff!! read more
