During my Sai Nam binge, I had a curry dish, pad thai with chicken, pad thai with vegetables, spring rolls, and the iced tea. Every single item was absolutely amazing. I got my food to go each time. Even though I didn't call ahead to place the order (I was nervous about not speaking German, however that was silly as all of the staff I encountered spoke beautiful English), I was always in and out in under 15 minutes. Add to all of this how super affordable everything is (all entrees under €10, apps under €5), and you have my new favorite restaurant in Germany!

Previously, any dish ordered could be counted on to be tantalizing and flavorful, with an intricate balance/blend of sour, sweet, bitter, spicy, etc. - in other words, that special 'Thai' touch. But now, the food seems to be trending towards bland and uninspiring. Likewise, the waitstaff are like zombies, sluggishly going through the motions and appear as bored and uninspired as the chefs back in the kitchen. But the next served food which was a spring roll was not good, because the inside was cold. So, I asked them to warm it up. Then, they might have been offended. We had waited for a very long time until we finally asked them when the food (spring roll) would be warmed and the crab fried rice served. And then they suddenly started to get angry. And they served "Shrimp" fried rice instead of "Crab". So, I pointed out a different food from the ordered one had been served. Then they started to lie. They lied we ordered "Shrimp". So, I informed them of the number of the food in the menu. And then they lied again the food corresponding to the number is "Shrimp". So, I asked them to bring the menu and show me the corresponding number. And the menu finally showed the corresponding number was "Crab". Then they told the final lie in that they insisted "Crab is Shrimp". They should have said "Crab ran out and I'm sorry but Crab rice can't be served. Rather Shrimp rice will be served." In summary, they told two shameless lies. 1) They lied that we had ordered "Shrimp" and 2) They lied "Crab is Shrimp". The second one could not be a lie. Rather it could be an insult. You should NEVER visit this restaurant.
