First time to attend Sunday mass at Price of Peace Catholic Church. Scheduled at 8 or 10 am. The…read moreparking lot is limited on a first come first served basis, with 1st row intended for handicap parking. It was raining so I had to be extra careful in walking up the stairs towards the main door. The mass started on time and the church was almost full capacity. Mix number of young, adult and senior parishioners. If you want to concentrate and listen to the mass, do avoid seating in the enclosed room that seats the family with young children. Some of the parents needed extra attention to keep their youngsters from either crying or playing with toys while the mass was going on. Although I don't know them personally, I've seen many familiar faces from the neighborhood. Mass duration is about 1 hour. Two of the Catholic priests hosted the mass. Receiving of communion was initiated by row and the line went by fast. The interior of the church looks very clean and the audio sounded very clear.

I have identical twins with cerebral palsy they are 3yrs old they will never walk or talk because of a birth injury. The fact I could take my son with me today I was overwhelmed with happiness. Since my twins daughters with the cerebral palsy are at school. I am not from Michigan I have no family or in-laws to help. I arrived to mass late. One of my biggest pet peeves personally. I asked if it was too late to receive ashes. A nice woman directed me to the front. We were the last to receive our ashes. In the mist of all of this I was approached by Linda I believe she is affiliated with the church. She scolded me for being late today and if I wanted ashes I should come for the whole mass. I said nothing and received my ashes for myself and 2yr old son. I felt awful I felt like crap how she spoke to me. After mass I approached her and explained why I was late I had to drop my handicap daughters to their school and this church was the closest. There is no way that I would possibly bring all 3 kids to mass. The churches doors are not handicap accessible. My daughters do not walk or are able to hold themselves up. It would be very difficult to bring all my kids under 3 to mass in their walker or my double stroller. Linda said she understands and was sorry. The momentum was lost her approach was terrible. I won't be back again to this church & I'll be praying for you Linda to open your heart to those that suffer daily and have no choice. My daughters didn't choose not to talk they didn't choose not to walk or ability to feed themselves. Take a moment and be grateful for what you have & take a moment to show empathy to those you do not know their story. We all carry crosses and as Catholics we must help carry our crosses together and proudly. Amen

This church has a passion for truth and for outreach. The music is good. The theology is good. The…read morepeople are friendly. And if you have a baby or some kind of hardship, they will find volunteers to bring you dinner for a few weeks. There are a lot of young families and big families (four or more kids). There are also some older people to add wisdom. I think it's a good mix.
