Five stars for JC Penney..... Scored. The gym clothes are on sale. Fall and winter fashions are out and spring and summer fashions are in. Cute shirts for $9.99! The Mall is a really nice place to go when it's hot or cold outside. I like to walk around and window shop, dodge the yummy smelling cinnabons, dream about cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory, and ohhhhhh the shoes.... Macy's has some super cute clothes right now - Free People for us Boomer, ode to be a hippie again type people. I have been a patron of the Meadowood Mall since the 90's. It's practically the only mall that has survived Reno (RIP _ Parklane Mall). Sears is an anchor store, but the quality of clothing for women is going downhill. JC Penney seems to have some good finds and Macy's has super cute stuff but can be pricey. I like Dick's Sporting Goods. Great selection of athletic shoes. The Mall can get crowded on weekends and during the holidays, but pretty much, most of the time, it is mellow. Glad we have it here in Reno! read more

This mall comes and goes with being a decent mall. It always seams like they are moving stores around and remodeling an old shop for a new one to take it's place. There are a couple of good food spots in the food court. But most of my favs have left years ago. There is also a Cinnabon on the far end of the mall from the food court. I was saddened when I walked into Hot Topic and it was all "trendy" and not the "scary, death-like" store that mom's would take their little kids on the other side so they didn't see kind of store. **Yeah... I was that kind of kid** I was really happy though when they brought in Spencers. That is another favorite store of mine. Also there are a few body jewelry places located through out the middle "pop-up" shops as I call them. And one in an unit. This really for the most part a one stop shopping spot if you are getting things other than food. We also used to come here to visit Santa and the Easter Bunny when the kids were smaller. read more

Horrible EV charging. This mall has EV charging, but the cost of it is unfair for what you are getting. It has two Chargepoint parking stalls by the Macy's. The way the sign is written it seems at first that the charging is free, but that is only for the parking itself, which is misleading because the whole mall has free parking for all vehicles. The actual charging costs 40c / kwhr for slow level 2 charging. That price is insane. A mall should have EV charging as an incentive to get you to want to shop there. It should be free or offered at the cost of electricity, which is around 10c / kwhr in Nevada. Maybe a cent or two markup for cost of installing the chargers. But 40c is insane. Frankly I do not want to return to this mall over this. The stores themselves are like any other mall, but Simon group should fix this. read more

I love this place ever since I was a preteen I have always enjoyed hanging out at the mall.

There child playground is still closed. Now that the vaccine is open its common sense to open it back up. Anyhow the only thing for kids to play on is the car. IT DOESN'T WORK! It just takes you're money. It allows you to use your card but that doesn't work you can only give it cash and even then it's your money. Since no one carries cash anymore of course we went to the Cinnabon line to get change and we were forced to buy some thing. Meanwhile a line of people behind us are irritated because they want their kids to play on the car too. Because it's the only thing that kids can plan on.... The people at Cinna bun shorted us to keep a tip for themselves I'm sure. It's just irritating when you have children and other peoples children all crying and screaming because there's nothing available for them. Are used to come to the mall because it was the easiest place to keep my children out of that weather and give them a place to play and also get some shopping done. Well, in my opinion one of the best way to properly judge a city is by checking out it's local mall. I like to look at malls for a lot of different reasons....I feel a mall is the way you learn the style of the city. You also get to learn the tastes, the flow and the over all vibe that the city has going on. I've visited the Meadowood Mall a few times before my Yelping days, but now I'm a Yelper and why not leave a little review. So here we go.... This is a one story mall, it's located in what I would consider the uptown area of Reno. It's a pretty decent sized mall for what it's worth considering it's a one story operation. I would consider this mall on the level of lets say....The Great Mall in Milpitas as far as size and offerings go, minus the Dave and Busters. It has your usual Macys and your Foot Locker for all you sneaker heads out there, it has a Game Stop for those of you that like to play video games and such, but the star attraction here in my opinion is....."The Food Court" I like a mall with a decent food court. I like food and being a "foodie" anything to munch on is good in my book, they don't have your usual typical food court restarunts here, May I recommend that if you come here and like sushi, that you try out Santa Cruz Sushi! I also like the Soribol in here better than the one in the Westfield SF. Although this is a Reno area mall, the shops and sports stores here do cater a lot to bay area sporting teams, seeing that Reno has no major league teams of their own except for a few minor league affiliates The Reno Ace's being one of them (Arizona Diamondbacks MiLB team) But if you are ever in town and need Warriors, Raiders, A's, Giants and Niners gear..you are in luck here. Another thing I like about this mall is that it has a few chill areas and unlike most malls I've visited in recent times, they have charging stations for your mobile devices which I think is the bomb! because nothing more worst than being out and about and your phone is dying and you have no charger with you. Plus it is a total let down when you can't yelp like you want to because your phone is about to die no bueno! In my closing, this mall will supply you with a great shopping experience, it's got everything that I think one would like to see if you plan to spend some cash or window shop. This mall is kinda a teenie bopper mall so be prepared to see a lot of Justin Beiber and Selena Gomez fans here..I think it's because the fact that Reno doesn't have a lot to do for the youngsters. Come armed with a DFWM ("Don't F*ck With Me") face. First off, if you don't know where your store is, the only reason to park anywhere is to find a shady tree with an empty spot in it. Then walk in and good luck trying to figure out where the store you want to go is located. For all you know, it's all the way in the opposite end of where you are. Next, you need to put on the DFWM face as you walk the gauntlet of kiosk sales people desperate to sell you anything from sparkly hair ornaments to eyebrow plucking. It's been 9 years since I last stepped foot in here. I'm good for another 9 until the next time. read more

I've only been to Meadowood Mall on one other occasion prior to my most recent Black Friday adventure. The first time I was here was a long time ago and I only went to Macy's. I honestly don't even recall why we came here, but I somehow ended up with the cutest Carlos Santana heels. This time we came with a purpose to let the boys shop until the Black Friday sales ended at 1 AM, which was less than an hour from when we showed up. I ended up at Cinnabon and had a tasty treat to myself. It was delicious! I ended up walking around and found a seat at the kids' play area and decided that I would just lounge around while waiting for them. From just walking around on one side of the mall, it definitely seemed a little more crowded than the Sparks Outlet. I guess people prefer to shop indoors since it's freezing cold outside. The mall itself is spacious and well kept. I'll have to come back & explore it when I have more energy. read more

I took the RTC #1 line to the end and the bus took me at the Meadowland Mall. A very big mall with Macy's, JC Penney, Sears and Sport's Authority as the anchor stores and same stores you see at any mall: Foot Locker, Cinnabon, Victoria Secrets, Bath and Body Works and yes, the Disney Store to name a few. The mall's Border's Express is bigger than some of the other Border's I've visited. The University of Nevada Reno store is also in the mall. Students gets 20% off any purchase. The food court comprises with Orange Julius/DQ, Hot Dog on a stick, Sbarro, McDonalds, Flaming Wok and of course Starbucks to name a few. I didn't come to the mall to eat mall food. I decided to get ahead start on my Holiday-shopping for my family. I got something sexy from Victoria Secrets for wife to wear and to steam my glasses for the holidays. I bought my son a kid's jersey from the Kid's Foot Locker. Finally, my daughter recently picked up the game of Chess, and she is good too, by kicking my ass several times. Like dad, she likes the Peanuts too. Meadowood Mall - Shopping Centers Near Me - Reno, Nevada

I have never been much of a mall rat so take my review with that caveat in mind. I really like the update that was recently done. It seems more updated and lighter. The seating areas are comfortable and inviting and add a bit of classy elegance. The biggest negative is the mid mall kiosks. It makes me think of a cow chute, I am wondering when I am going to hit the squeeze and get my antibiotics and my ear clipped. We usually try to hit it during the weekday and avoid holiday shopping times like the plague. The space makes me feel cranky and claustrophobic. There is ample parking, and except for holiday rush, there are usually spots available near one of the many entrances. Most of the stores are pretty standard - Macy's (his and hers) JC Penney, Victoria Secrets, Kay Jewelers, Radio Shack, See's Candies. Some are new - Coach, Lids, H&M, Cache.The biggest negative is that there are no unique local shops with items that you can't find in every mall in the country. There are some decent food options - La Crepe Cafe and Cheesecake Factory. It is not a destination, but there are a few stores that I like well enough to come on an infrequent basis. read more

I really like this mall for several reasons. It's a single story place with the exception of a few of the bigger stores like, Sears, JC Penney and Macy's. It's indoors. With temperatures only in the 20's this past weekend, it was nice walking around, window shopping in the warmth. It's huge. A bunch of little stores to check out along with a nice food court. Late Post: LABOR DAY WEEKEND VISIT This is review of the visit the family took during the labor day weekend in the top of the month in September. The mall is small potatoes coming from a shopping fanatic. I mean its one big BORING circle. The stores are minimally modern but nothing like a Galleria or even a hometown mall like sunvalley in Concord. The Kiosk people need a training on sales opportunities, approach is too aggressive, I digress. There is an eddie bauer in the mall. We stopped here after the rib fest just to extend our reach for the day and we were unimpressed. POOR RENO you really have to travel to get a decent shopping experience. The nicest thing about the mall were the people, we had great customer service in foot action and we purchased some shoes for our daughter there, but as I stated earlier the mall was a bit outdated. read more

It isn't as bad as everyone says. It has pretty nice stores and isn't crazy crowded. The food court has a modest selection of foods ranging from Asian options, pizza, cheesesteak to hot dog on a stick. Generally, it's pretty spacious and well kept. All in all, a good place to hang out after a day on the slopes. The kids like shopping there and they generally have good sales at most of the stores. Anchor stores include Macy's, JC Penneys, American Eagle, Aeropostale, Victoria's Secret, Eddie Bauer, See's Candy, and more. Closing all restrooms except for the one in the food court makes no sense. I understand the thought process is to lessen the risks of transferring covid-19. However, condensing people to one restroom is the complete opposite of controlling the spread. You have way more traffic and people lined up to use ONE bathroom facility. This isn't helping anyone. Generally speaking, I don't like going places where I have to be around big crowds. But, Meadowood mall is set up in such a way that I can shop for what I need and get out as quick as possible. Many times I have come to Meadowood mall and found exactly what I was looking for. But on other occasions, I have searched high and low in and multiple stores and not been able to find what I was in search of. The moderately new kids play place is a nice respite for parents who hate taking their kids all over the mall. It's nice to be able to have one parent watch the kids for a while while the other does their shopping. What can I say about the food court? Well, the food court is a mall food court the restaurants change often, the food is moderately good, and always you can find what you're craving, there's a little bit of everything. When it comes to good food though Meadowood mall is always striving to the best restaurants around. They have one staple spot that it receives new start up restaurants and new experiences for diners. The most recent addition to the Meadowood mall food line up, The cheesecake factory. I cannot tell you how excited I am that this restaurant is now in the Reno Sparks area. So if you're in the Reno area and you need to do a lot of shopping in one location Meadowood mall is recommended by this yelper. read more

The mall is like any other mall. Lots of stores and high-priced items. The thing I like best about Meadowood mall is they have a club for children. It's called Kidget kids. Everything will time we're near the mall my son always asked to. Every year you have to sign up. I just found out that midget kids is now free to sign up. They do not receive a goodie bag or free shirt firming sign ups now. But they still host the free events for the kiddos! Every month they seem to have an event going on. If there is no event they are able to go up to the information desk and spin a wheel. Here they get either a toy or a ticket to another store. Keva Juice has a delicious white chocolate covered with strawberries drink. It is very good. They have even updated their spot in the mall. Go check it out and try the white chocolate covered strawberries drink. It's a February holiday drink. They also do things for the children for their birthdays. Last year my son got a backpack with a pencil container and some other goodies. read more

Who goes shopping at a mall a week before Christmas? Me... that's who. I needed to buy a couple of tops and some dress pants for work. My husband suggested we try the mall, since they have Macy's and JcPenney. Let me start by saying, while I am a woman, I detest shopping. So Christmas was probably not the ideal time to head that way. However, my husband promised me we would stop at the food court and have a fish sandwich. Who could resist? Not me... I'm a sucker. Overall the experience wasn't too horrible, but it was very crowded, and the store workers seemed a little overwhelmed and tired. Made me feel bad for them, but happy that I wasn't one of them. The racks were mostly disorganized from the multitude of holiday shoppers that are too lazy or lost to find the spot they pulled the item from. The shoppers however should be ashamed of themselves. They walk into you, push you, step in front of you while you are looking at an item, or just plain show their 'behind' to you. Next year, I resolve to stay away from the mall during this time. For a mall in this area, it has some pretty good stores and some really great selection in those stores for my purposes. The mall is definitely full and lively but not overly crowded and parking is aplenty! For the most part this mall serves the purpose of a mall but does not have some of the more expensive stores that the modern age is used to such as trendy Abercrombie & Fitch or higher class Club Monaco or Banana Republic. Overall their American Eagle store satisfied my need to buy some jeans so I am giving it an ok rating. Definitely not where you would come to actually shop, but a good time killer. read more

I vacationed in Reno for Thanksgiving 2010 week & went here once the day before Thanksgiving. The mall is pretty nice & a pretty good size. I've been to several worse ones. There's no Nordstrom though, which is my favorite dept store. If I was ever in Reno again, which I wouldn't return, but if I did, I'd go to this mall again probably. read more

I normally have fun going to this mall when I visit Reno in December. They aren't as busy as or malls in the Bay Area sooooo...sizes are easier to find and you don't have to wait in line for hours. The stores are your usual run of the mill. They also have Macy's and other department stores for your convenience. The food court seems to be plentiful although I've never had a meal there. There's also a Starbucks if you need some caffeine. Solid 3 stars. read more

I do not like malls. Meadowood Mall is no exception. I was there today for the second time in a week. The first time I had to go to Macy's so at least I didn't have to walk thru the mall itself. Today I went to 2 shops which are fortunately right next to each other. Walking to and from the shops to the exit I was accosted 3 times by vendors with kiosks selling some sort of natural skin products. Since when does no thank you mean follow me and badger me. The company that manages the mall really needs to address this problem. read more

The is the only indoor mall in northern Nevada? Good lord, I do live in nowheresville USA. This is a mediocre disappointment. Originality points only for the plentiful Monster energy drink machines. That I've never seen and I liked. I mean they have some of the basic stores here and basic is the only word for all of it. Clearly this mall is for teens and I get it, teens go to the mall for social funtime and spend money there. So all the big fun stores were too young for me as a single childless 40 years old. The one older woman store was all" wine" "mom" "Mr & Mrs". I was like could you possibly be more heteropatriarchal alcoholic? Meadowood basically told me if I wasn't a drunken married mother who wanted to wear ruffles I should go elsewhere. Cool with me. I can usually at least find something cheap and fun in Forever 21, here it was all too ugly. I was like what is all this shit? Even Hot Topic, the main reason I went to Meadowood, was all Alice and Wonderland and literally looked like it was for children. I understand only younger people shop at the mall, clearly. I won't bother again. I will thank Meadowood for sparing my pocketbook the pain of opening it as there was nothing worth it. Rose body butter in the body shop, sure that's nice but I know I don't need it. I don't want to smell like a baby stripper so Bath and Body Works is out. The Victoria's Secret didn't even have any fun lingerie like, at all. Makeup was all I liked there. The clothes, shoes and jewelry were all uniformly hideous. I kept walking around being like, "Meadowood, redeem thyself, show me Nevada isn't a godforsaken shithole" and you know what? Monster energy drinks was about it. I can get that shit at CVS, There was some nice makeup in the JC Penny Sephora and a MAC counter in the Macy's which was wonderful to see, but. Large, expansive parking lot, clean and luxurious designed interior, and generous variety of stores and waiting areas give this mall high marks, but the food court seems to lack enough variety in food options, giving this mall four stars. Meadowood Mall has changed a lot since I first arrived in Reno thirteen years ago. For one, the floor plan is more open now than it ever was before, with more available seating, a playground for kids (by JC Penney), and large common area walkways and brilliant lighting schemes. it also has a large variety of stores, that always seems to be changing, so I guess capitalistic market pressures are working well in this mall. The whole thing is an indoor mall, so there's not much to go outside for once you're in, but I don't mind the indoor thing. The store is filled with a large variety of stores to cater to every budget, from the low-price anchor stores (JC Penney and Sears) to the higher end luxury stores (Macy's and Zales) and has something to offer for everyone. The food court, however, seems to lack enough variety in food options, and I think that there always seems to be one spot or another empty, leading to a dark cloud over this part of the experience. There are other places outside of the food court to select from, like the Cheesecake Factory, but this particular restaurant is so expensive, it's not a Food Court offering at all. I want to go back to the days when they had Orange Julius and Dairy Queen available. Even Sbarro's has been replaced with a generic "italian" food vendor who no one's ever heard of. Overall, this mall offers a fun experience, but this may not be the best place to dine, leaving shoppers who grow hungry after their shopping experience wanting for more, resulting in a four-star rating. read more

I thought I'd run and grab a gift today at the mall. To my surprise this place was crazy crowded. I walked one corridor turned around, walked out and left. There was no way to social distance, however it was great to see so many wearing masks. It's official....I'm old. I'm just not into the mall scene anymore. I just want to get in and get out asap. Too many pushy kiosk sales people. I feel so rude as I just mutter "no thanks" and keep walking. I don't like feeling rude.....but gosh dang it, I've got a closet full of unused stuff because I used to be polite and stop. I get lost everytime I'm there...a lot of twists and turns; admittedly I have a bad sense of direction. On the positive side: The bathrooms were clean and had toilet paper, so I've gotta give them credit for that. They have some comfortable sitting areas with charge stations for your cell phone, nice touch. Plenty of parking, no problem there. read more

Ugh, as much as I love the Meadowood Mall, there are so many things that's keeping me from giving them four stars. Maybe this is because the main company, Simon Malls, is too business-forward. Before, there used to be TVs at the food court that you can interact with - you can request music videos! Now, there's none at all. It feels like a hospital now. Everything's black and white! Additionally, the lack of accessibility. The company managed to take out the food tray. I know that I'm complaining about this small little thing but c'mon, the food places are expecting you to carry your plate now, even if it's hot. Oh the wifi sucks too. I don't know.
