Meat market is an upscale steakhouse and the decor matched just that. Make sure to dress appropriately. We ordered the cajun ribeye, the crispy rice, lobster mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and the mac and cheese. My favorite items were the cajun ribeye and the crispy rice. The meat was cooked to perfection and the ribeye was juicy! The crispy rice was one of the best I've had! I have no notes on the quality of the fish or flavor, it was divine. I made a reservation here a little last minute with a friend at 9:30pm on a Saturday evening. It is located inside the Renaissance Hotel. It was EXTREMELY loud upon entering and the tables were very close together. I couldn't even hear myself talking that is how loud it was. Plus, the music in addition to the noise made it difficult to have a conversation. The interior decor was aesthetically pleasing. Our server was fantastic. He was very attentive, kind, and helpful. He helped us make decisions with our order. To start, my friend and I ordered the I love gold beverage which consisted of Anejo tequila, honey, orange, lemon and cinnamon on the rim. I ordered mine skinny (to be the least sweet as possible). We ordered the MM house salad which we split to start which had brick street farms organic greens, candied pecans, goat cheese and red wine vinaigrette. We also got the BBQ Wagyu beef ribs which had jalapeño coleslaw and red current bbq sauce. Both were absolutely fantastic starting dishes before preparing for the main course. With the help and guidance of our knowledgeable server, we ordered an item that was NOT featured on the menu. It was called the MS9 Australian Wagyu which is one of the highest grades of beef! It is sourced from Jack's Creek. It was so tender, juicy, and medium to perfection. I was super grateful our waiter told us about it! We ordered the cast iron exotic mushrooms as a side to the steak and they were 10/10. We made room for dessert and I'm so happy we did because it was PHENOMENAL! We ordered the double chocolate cake with brûlée marshmallow, chocolate peanut butter fudge, coffee ice cream and chocolate pop rocks. It was seriously mouth watering. Came here for Christmas Day lunch with family (husband and 2 SILs). My sister-in-law who works for Marriott picked MM which is in the Renaissance Hotel in Boca. What a nice surprise this was! Every dish was executed with precision and real culinary confidence. The Sea Bass was perfectly cooked - beautifully caramelized and the sauce with wild mushroom, sweet corn, edamame and truffle sauce complimented the fish so well. We had a really delicious summer menu lunch special in under an hour time. We arrived early and had the restaurant to ourselves for a bit, so the service was impeccable focusing on us. My husband chose a sandwich and I chose a salad. He also enjoyed a glass of New Zealand Sauvignon blanc. He got their roast beef (beefeater panini). It came on toasted grainy bread. There were thin slices of roast beef, yellow peppers, cheese, arugula, and tomatoes plus a pungent horseradish aioli sauce. For his side, he got a salad (instead of fries). My friend and I went with our usual Tangerine dream, a gin based drink with yuzu and kiwi. It is so good and glad it was consistent. For apps, we went with waygu beef dumplings which are the perfect starter. They're not too filling and are very flavorful. Typically I get the filet mignon but was in the mood for something less filling and different. I went with the fish of the day which was a branzino with a tomato salsa and tomato chutney. The fish was very buttery and delicate. The tomato chutney was sweet but has some acidity to it that really balanced the flavors. The tomato salsa was a fresh component but I really preferred the chutney. The gouda tots are really good and thick, and the garlic aioli is a great dipping sauce. My steak was unbelievably salty not just over-seasoned, but genuinely hard to eat. We brought it to the manager, Matthew, and he even tasted it himself. I figured at that point he'd come back over, acknowledge the issue, apologize, or at least try to make it right. Instead, nothing. He never came back to the table. That's what bothered me the most. Mistakes happen in restaurants, but good management is about how you handle them. A simple "you're right, let us fix this" would've gone a long way. Regardless of the time of the day , your restaurant should have qualified sommelier or mangers to open bottles properly. As a regular customer with a long history of entertaining large parties, we were surprised by this lack of attentiveness. We attempted to communicate our concerns with Mikaylah unfortunately she never responded to my email regarding a request for compensation in form of a refund rather than a meat market gift card. Due to all these experiences , we have come to a conclusion that the meat market does not meet the level of service expected for this kind of establishment. I made a reservation for 8 PM on a non-holiday normal business week. The parking was horrendous. And had a valet. After I valid, I went to the host this stand where there were four girls three of them standing there doing nothing and one behind the kiosk ask him to be receiving for my 8 PM reservation. I was told to wait that they were gonna get a table for us. It would only be about 15 minutes.. So while that 15 minutes is ticking. There was the loudest DJ in the planet playing music that resembled House music that you would've heard in 2015 over at blue martini people kept pulling up walking past us into the restaurant, into the bar as you continually shuffle yourself around because there's nowhere to actually wait for the table. It's just a parking lot. I was expecting it to be an upscale restaurant. I own a yacht company so my expectations may be a little high, but for the price and the way they were speaking that's what I assumed I was walking into. I was with my daughter, and I was also with my fiancé that has Alzheimer's. 15 minutes went by I then asked again what the situation was with the table. She said it would only be a few more minutes if we could just wait I said fine at this point. I'm already standing there for about 25 minutes. The volume is still ridiculously loud out of the bar area which now has a bunch of drunk people between the ages of 30 to 75 years old not a manager in sight. And still the same girls standing behind her quietly sneaking on their phones while the main hostess stands there not checking tables, but that is on her Instagram or whatever inside the sleeve of her jacket. Now keep in mind my car is already valid. I had a reservation at 8 PM and now I am waiting at this point closer to 30 minutes to eat. My daughter goes up. She says that they're finding us a table table never comes 45 minutes later I ask her what the situation is with the table. She says that they still don't have one available even though we watched at least 20 to 30 people leave with nobody waiting in front of us. when I told her that we were simply just gonna leave at that point, she looked at me and said OK... not let me go get a manager when I brought the ticket back to the valet guy after 45 minutes and told him the situation because I was not paying for valet! He looked at me and was like you gotta be kidding me like as if this happens kind of regularly or it doesn't happen at all. Maybe it's just me maybe a guy that comes in with his girlfriend that has an illness that may look a little "confused" even though it's fit the situation, or maybe how young I look. Or maybe because I didn't pull up in my hundred thousand dollar BMW. That they simply didn't care.. I have never felt that disrespected and shrugged at a restaurant in probably 20 years. And it's a shame because I do have a lot of people in the area I interact with I live in Boca. I'm a successful respected business owner in the yachting community. I just went out of my comfort zone and wanted to try something different and I got the result I exactly thought would happen. So you know we did we went across the street and had food at seasons 52 which has super great consistent food and I spent my money there. I don't recommend anybody goes to this meat market and hopefully honestly it gets shut down because all it looks like to me is a place a drink that doesn't check and see if people are good when they're leaving over serves and then put some directly on I-95. What made this even more baffling was that there were many open tables outside, and they remained empty for the entire 90 minutes I stayed, listening to the singer from the bar, also located on the pool deck. No explanation was offered beyond vague confusion from the staff. The outdoor area had no tablecloths, the servers seemed unsure of what was going on, and overall the service felt disorganized and unwelcoming. I couldn't help but feel that appearances mattered more than honoring a confirmed reservation. I week late on my review so I apologize. Business dinner. Lovely location with ample parking mostly valet. Very friendly as one would hope. I had the salmon as my guests both had steaks. On had the Australian cut and commented how good it was for two days. Both Syria cooked to perfection as ordered. Sides were family style. Brussels sprouts and cheesy potatoes. I had the salmon which came on a delicious quinoa and mushroom side that was delicious. Unfortunately my salmon was a bit over cooked that made it dry. It's a hard dish. Came here for a cute fancy girls night and I was not disappointed!! The interior is very beautiful and a nice vibe. Bar area was very busy on a Friday night. The main dining room had plenty of tables available. There's lots of fun drinks and a nice selection o Our waiter was very nice and explained the menu. We were given fresh sourdough bread that was very tasty along with Peruvian seasoned corn nuts. Very good and addicting. For my main I got the 16 oz picanha steak. I've never had it before and it was delicious. It's a very fatty piece of meat which I personally enjoy. My friend got the G1 penne pasta dish and it was also amazing. We all shared the lobster Mac n cheese and mushroom skillet. Delicious! Can't wait to come back! read more
