First thing to know is it is cash only but there's an ATM onsite with a very low fee of $1 to use it (this fee could be $5 and people would pay so this was quite the deal). This pizza is everything you want in a good slice, greasy in the best way, good amount of flop and structure, crispy airy charred crust and of course the cup'n'char pepps are mint. Highly recommend a side of the garlic sauce for dipping. Plenty of seating inside, public parking lot across from it and extremely clean washrooms. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful & cost was super reasonable for the size of the pizzas. Worth the drive to the hammer!

Thank goodness I let them convince me otherwise! We were so lucky to snag the last few slices of what we wanted, since there were several big events nearby bringing thousands of people into the area. Literally, five guests after us were dinied slices! I was surprised how perfect the dough was cooked, and I really loved the spicy honey that coated the slices I purchased. Since Cowabunga was known for their "best slice in the world of 2024" I also had to purchase one of those T-shirts to honour the experience. There is a decent amount of indoor seating, but, in summer one should definitely sit outside. Tables move through rotation quickly since slices are most of the appeal, so you should be able to sit somewhere at any time.

The cowabunga pizza was too heavy on the gochujang, it was too over powering. The margarita pizza was good, it had spicy pesto on it. Quite cheesy. We couldn't leave without trying out the pizza slice. The crust was better than whole pizzas we got. But it was not overwhelming. The service was good. Our server was pretty attentive when he could. I had a quick chat with Reza and Anna who were very proud of their product and explained how everything is done on premises from scratch - the dough, sauces, etc. They turned out to be owners of the place which explains the passion - an essential ingredient in cooking. Two concerns: with the price of $14-15 for a medium pizza the place is a bit spendy but you get what you pay for - and much, much more. Second - I would like to see regular forks and knives instead of the plastic ones - definitely not a deal breaker for me. I'm not coming to Kitchener too often but I will make sure to visit Rustic Slice again next time I'm there.

The prices are affordable and the food is vary good. We love this place. And I love the people and the staff

I'm a big fan of carrots, celery and blue cheese with my pizza and wings. And my only reservation was that for two large pizzas and 2lbs of wings, there was just a small handful of veggies and one small blue cheese dipping sauce. I get prices have gone up, but maybe they could ask customers whether they'd like veggies and blue cheese? Next time, I guess I'll just have to prepare my own.
