During the right weather in the right time of year the sky is amazing, the view over looking the water is breathtaking, and we even had a Dolphin come up out of the water right next to us during our ceremony!! The price for the venue, if you're looking for somewhere that will let you bring in your own alcohol and food, is pretty good for what you get. Especially compared to other rec centers, this is so not your average rec center. Inside are hardwood floors, floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the bay. It's true that it was a little bit too hot during the reception so I got a little more sweaty dancing than I would have liked. But they have outdoor lounge/seating areas that worked out great for the smokers crowd. The actual ceremony location is perfect - a concrete ledge that drops right off at the water, so it's like getting married at the beach without the sand! And if it rains, the ceremony can always be held in the covered outdoor area that is much less romantic than by the water, but you could decorate it up nicely if you wanted. Tyler, who orchestrates the reservations for the venue, is also very laid back but helpful at the same time making it a pretty stress free venue rental at the end of the day. We loved it and would highly recommend!

ACTIVITES There's always activities going on (from Zumba, to martial arts, to dog obedience classes) and that's not counting the outside areas of basketball, playground, tennis courts and more. The outside courts tend to attract lots of games so it's possible to have every space occupied. Despite being busy, during weekday evenings there are still many empty rooms inside for teachers to hold future classes. SAFETY It seems you can always see multiple areas of the center (inside and outside) no matter where you stand. The entire area is very open and there's always people walking around-- hence, I've always felt safe. In the reverse, at night, there aren't enough lights (and still lots of people walking around) so THAT doesn't seem as safe. SERVICE So far all teachers and staff I've met have been very eager to please, very friendly, very knowledgable and ready to ask YOU questions so they can serve you better. Luckily, I've also seen them get harsh at people getting too rowdy.

This was a great way to kick off a Friday night. The staff was very helpful getting us started and explaining the scoring. This is a game that everyone can enjoy no matter how athletic. This place is celebrating its one hundredth anniversary. We really enjoyed the clubhouse with a lot of old pictures which showed how things were back in the day. I was really happy I was not wearing a three piece suit and tie which was standard attire back then. We all had a great time and will definitely be back.

There is a cute pier with a view of much of the bay. There were a lot of birds and some pelicans hanging around sunbathing. You can see boats, the Skyway, and more. There is a boat ramp, a fishing area, playground, a small grassed area, and a bathroom. It is not the best park for running or getting in steps, but it is a great park for watching nature/ the water and enjoying the stillness. I really enjoyed my visit here and I will be back to catch that gorgeous sunrise that I have heard about.

The league was well organized and had a great communication cadence. You essentially get guaranteed court play for 45 minutes each week. The price is hard to beat at $30 a team per season. There's a play ground, a rec center, restrooms, courts, tons of parking, fields. You name it-it's got it. The park even has pools! I personally really appreciate that the paved trail is smooth enough to rollerblade. And that's why it's the highlight for me. This park is a full afternoon of socially distant adventures. I'm so grateful for how well maintained it is. The St. Pete Parks and Rec team deserves so many kudos.

The machines now have been upgraded with new systems that will allow the user to view their real time balance as they swipe their game cards. Also after some investigation, customers are welcomed to review a computer generated itemized report of their entire account activity. 7/11/26 around 6pm I went here and won a small chest from one of the claw machines to the left…read morebetween the front door and service desk. When I opened it there was a note inside. My younger sister and I were so excited about it we didn't give it a second thought and brought it right up to the counter. The woman at the counter gave us the points and said she'd text her manager about the note inside. We played for another 30 minutes or so and went back to the counter. She told us our point total and I asked if her manager had texted her back. She said they did, then "ha ha very funny" which caught me off guard. I realize now that it was a prank by whoever had the chest before, but I responded apologetically even though the attitude confused me. She told us something along the lines of "yeah well it's not real" like we were annoying her. She walked away while we were trying to just move on and choose our prizes. Another woman came to help us. The entire interaction left me feeling humiliated and incredibly insulted. I asked a question. I didn't deserve that. Disgusting experience.
