Trying to talk to customer service is futile. Left my name and number for a call back........assuming that was a futile too since they never called back. Insurance paid by virtual credit card about 5 weeks after my surgery, it was never processed. Almost 3 months after the surgery, 6 weeks after the payment was attempted the records indicated an agent tried to call the insurance company and said it was a non-working number. Last week, when talking to billing in the Philippines, the agent put me on hold and called, he reported that it is a good number. Now I understand why this hospital as a 2 star rating. Got my first "Past Due" bill today.

The care he got seemed to be good but his 100 year old IV pump was going off and nobody came in. Rooms were small, old, and run down. My other issue is with the gated parking garage. We tried putting $1 in the machine but it wouldn't take our money. So we tried another $1, same outcome. We pressed the help button but nobody in the hospital answered. Two cars were behind us but so finally we had to go all the way inside the hospital and get a token. Don't park in the parking garage unless you have a token or coins.

After approximately one year of treatment, the doctor informed me that my insurance was no longer covering the treatment and he would no longer provide treatment I changed to the Northwest Alabama Cancer Center the staff was very accommodating and friendly. I appreciate seeing one of the doctors every week. At the previous clinic, the doctor would walk through the infusion room and speak and you were charged with a visit. The nurses at the NW Alabama Cancer Center are incomparable. Tina is the beat I have ever seen at sticking for blood or IV. All the nurses are very friendly and caring. They told me once when a patient had passed that "we are not supposed to get close to y'all". When I go to get treatment, I feel like I am going to visit friends and am actually kind of sad that my treatments are about to end and I won't see them as often ! If you have to deal with cancer, this is the place to do it!

My results went from being almost unable to walk to walking with ease. Prior to treatments I had pretty well confined myself to my chair, moving only when absolutely necessary. They know you and call you by name not just a number. They know the business they are in and are willing to talk to you and your health problems and explain what is going on in your body. When I came to Dr Naidu's office with a lot of pain in my legs, he did some procedures on them and now I can stand 5 or 6 hours with my legs them become swollen and hurting.
