So I'm half and half with this place. My first experience was a few months ago when I bought a Groupon and an older woman told me in a nasty tone that it was after 4pm and if I read the fine print on my Groupon they can't take them after 4pm. It was 4:15pm. I asked if they'd reconsider since we were going out of town the next day and I didn't want to try and find another place to do the oil change since it's later in the day. She said no it's after 4pm. Whatever. I left PISSED and got my Groupon refunded. Big middle finger to that lady with the 'tude. Second experience was slightly better. My husband needed an oil change and tire rotation and looking through Groupon we came across Medford Lube again. We actually laughed and said are we really going to try this place again after what happened before? I said screw it you need the oil change and rotation and no one else close had that deal. We get to Medford Lube BEFORE 4PM this time (eyeroll) and we're told that only an oil change can be done, no tire rotation because a certain lift that's needed for it isn't available. Now I'm stuck with this Groupon that I paid extra for the rotation. Here we goooooo. I purchase a SECOND Groupon for just an oil change and use that instead with the intention of getting the first one refunded. I will say that the girl working the desk this time was a lot friendlier than the older woman and called us when the truck was ready since we went next door to grab lunch. Took 15 minutes. After reading a couple of the other reviews on Yelp I'm wondering now if they even changed my husband's filter. Smh. I ended up keeping the other Groupon for myself since I need an oil change as well and tire rotation. But this time I'll be making an appt for both so I know it'll be done. Because of other reviews I'll also make sure my filter is changed and mark my tires so I know they're actually rotated. I shouldn't even have to do all that but apparently buyer beware with this place. Shame. read more

My husband and I have been using this place for years for things like oil changes and inspections. Recently, we have brought our truck there that was in need of repair. The truck has an extended warranty on it so an inspection needed to be done in order to further the repair process along. The truck was brought in in February of 2026. It is June 30th today. Crickets. They completely dropped the ball as far as facilitating the repair of this vehicle and Carmine, the owner, is a ghost. There is little to no accountability on their part and finger pointing at the warranty company. I have been a repeat customer for years, always oil change and inspection which is about the only things I would trust these sheisters with. I bring my vehicle there for an inspection, "if there's a problem it will take longer" is what I was told this time, which I knew then I was being set up by the dopey clown at the desk. I do my normal routine and go to the McDonald's across the street for a coffee. 45 sec later my phone rings, so now for the total of 5 min my vehicle has been there they were able to find the security key in my center console for the lug nuts, remove front tires, inspect the brakes, replace the tires????? As I walked back across the street I see them driving my vehicle out of the lot and into the mechanic's bay, they must have Superman working there, I mean, at that pace they put a NASCAR pit crew to shame. I go back in and was informed that my front brakes are unsafe and require new breaks and rotors in order pass inspection hahaha, my brakes were just done 6 months prior, I have been driving my shitbox work truck, so there is absolutely no way I needed brakes hahahaha unbelievable! The dummy at the front desk tells me that if I don't do the brakes she will charge me for the inspection they did and that a "failure report will be sent to the dmv" I guess this BS works on senior citizens and unknowing morons, so I paid for the "failed" inspection $36 and told her if I never come here again it will be too soon. i usually come here for my oil changes which have been totally fine but i started having a jerking at 40mph and i brought it to them. they had my car for 5 days and nobody called me. i had to call every day to find out an update and they kept saying you have to talk to carmine but he isnt here every time and he never called me back. i called on the 5th day and spoke to Anthony who said Carmine isnt here he has alot of issues going on but someone is calling to see if we can get you a transmission, so i said oh so its my transmission and he said thats what we think it is? wait thats what you think it is and your getting a transmission before you know that is def what it is. this is terrible customer service and very shady. i said can you please have Carmine call me and Anthony said well I cant give out his number but I can text him while we are on the phone. i said i want him to call me. then he puts the mechanic on the phone and the next mechanic says its def the transmission hands phone back to anthony who is still saying it might be the transmission. what a joke this is. i decided to pick my car up asap and go to another mechanic. First off, the receptionists are the nastiest people I have ever met; the kind that makes you want to walk out and never return solely off of that, should have done that and I wouldn't be in a position to write this. Second, I have gone to them for oil changes because they are fast and you want to believe they are good business. The last time I went for an oil change, I sat in the lobby for almost 2 hours before they came out to tell me "your oil plug was stripped by whoever you went to last so we're trying to get it out", I was instantly furious because they were the last to touch my vehicle for an oil change, after fighting with me that it wasn't them, the mechanic (who I wish I could remember his name since theres two of them, but I know its not the guy with the white ish greying hair) came out to apologize for being wrong since they "recently changed the oil filters they use, so I was right it was them" and since "I had been waiting for a while, they'd like to do my yearly inspection for free on them" but that my "oil pan was rusty and would need to be changed at my next oil change". At the time I didnt understand much about the oil plug/pan scenario and I was already pissed off and in a rush so I took the free inspection and went on. I moved to Florida a few weeks after and needed an oil change since I hit the mileage from driving from NY to FL. When I got to FL, not a single oil change servicing place would touch my car because my oil plug wasn't the stock factory one that should be in there and this is when it all added up and made sense. I went to the Volkswagon dealership as I was advised by one of the places I tried getting my oil change at that I should go there. Volkswagon showed me the plug in my car and the size of the plug that SHOULD be in my car if they didnt strip it. These asshole stripped my plug, neglected to tell me they put in a makeshift plug that didnt fit my car and then afterwards told me that I needed a new oil pan because its "rusty" when it wasn't because they wanted to make MORE money off me for their fuck up. This isnt the first time they did some grimey shit like this but it will be the last time I ever go there, recommend it to anyone and will be leaving this review here so that maybe you will think twice about getting fucked. read more

Came in for an inspection and encountered the most misogynistic employees on the island. They lied to me and told me my lower control arm was broken. I asked for the man to elaborate, and he dodged all my questions. I denied the repair and brought my car to get a second opinion. The second mechanic reassured me my car was in perfect condition, and let it pass through. Please do not go here unless you want to be scammed. I had been to this location before for an oil change and magically my headlights were broken meanwhile they worked as I pulled in. Went there twice and the service is HORRIBLE they are very rude and always try to find ways to make you spend more money. About a month ago I went there for an inspection and magically one of my headlights were out and both break lights. (They were completely fine before I entered the place) don't get me started on the groupons either they do not honor them because they'll always find some BS excuse like "it's too late to use it" or "we don't take them on certain days." Brought my car in with a Groupon for an oil change and tire rotation. They said I'd have to leave it, which was inconvenient but ok. 6 hours later I picked it up and they never did the tire rotation even though they swore that they did. One of the rims had a knick in it and it was in the same spot! Ripoff! The last time I was there in the summer for an A/C recharge it only lasted a week and leaked out even though the tested it ($149) and said there was no leak! WENT FOR A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE TO Differentials to an axle a couple of days later my car misfires smoke is coming out of my exhaust. I take it back to him. He tells me that I have to change. The coils paid a few hundred for that I leave the shop my car still misfiring I go back again. He tells me it's faulty they change it again, a few days later, my starter doesn't work. I get my car towed to his shop for him to call me the next day and tell me that my motor shot. I need a whole new motor paid them for a whole new motor. My car stayed in the shop for weeks, when I took my car back out of the shop, there was a rattling noise. He said he had to put a bolt by the brake pad the next day my check engine light comes on. It was my O2 sensor the next day after that my shifting gears didn't work. My car got stuck went back to the shop. They said the transmission fluid was a little dirty they claim they put new transmission fluid. They didn't take it for a second opinion they put all the wrong fluids in my car now I have a shot transmission, this place is the worst place on earth they are crooks. Do not take your car there do yourself a favor. All these issues occurred with me within one week, and after the new motor was put in now I have no transmission they will be hearing from my lawyer read more

It took them three hours to change the rear brakes, even though I was told it would only take about 45 minutes to an hour when I was making the appointment. I watched walk-in customers come in after me and leave before me. They practically served every walk-in before they fixed my car. This wasted my whole morning because I had no ride home. i get monthly oil changes because i drive a lot to work. I went to get my oil changed in November, and they told me i needed new breaks. I passed because i was broke, but planned on getting them in December. The day before I go in for my dec' oil change, the engine light goes on. I pull over and notice that the coolant is bone dry. Obviously they never checked the fluds. Anyway, i go in the next day and tell them i need an oil change and new front brakes. The guy tells me that my brakes are FINE, there is no coolant leak, but i have a small oil leak and i need this "additive". SO i let him add it.The next day I am driving to work and my "Check engine light", "VSA", and an "exclamation light" go on! long story short , I bring it to my personal mechanic and he says that I am 2 quarts low! and he cant find and oil leak! I brought my car into medford fast lube because it was overheating. They advised me that I needed a clutch fan and the original quote was for $120 and they said it would be done in a day. Their parts were so overpriced I asked for a quote with the part I needed so I could purchase it myself and bring it to them. I purchased the part and dropped it off. They told me it would be done that day. Three days later I never received a call. I called to see if my car was ready and they told me I brought them the wrong part and that they needed another part that now the fix was going to cost me $375. They never called me to tell me this nor did they tell me it was the wrong piece when I dropped it off. I received another printed quote so I could purchase the second part. I purchased the second part and dropped it off and they told me the car would be finished that day. The car was not finished that day. The next day at about 4 pm I called to see if the car was ready. They then advised me that they broke the part I had dropped to them, that is was their fault and they would replace it for me. At this point my car had been there for over a week for a job they said would take a day. I made the decision to pick my car up and bring it elsewhere because I was so unhappy with the service I had received thus far. When I went to pick up my car I asked if they would reimburse me for the parts they had broken that I paid for. The gentleman refused to refund my money and continued to be extremely rude, cursing at me and he was being belligerent. He told me to speak to the owner and when I asked for his business card he told me I could not have it that the owner was on vacation to come back at a later date. When I left the shop I drove about 100 yards down the road and my hood flew up and shattered my windshield because the shop had not latched the hood after they worked on my car. I had to file a police report and am now out of a car with no answers from the shop, and am having to take legal action. read more

I have always had great service and once again today I stopped in because of an issue with my car that was a direct result of a glass company's mistake. Carmine and his team are amazing! They always get me in as soon as possible and are super helpful. My car was misfiring last week and they replaced a coil, and then this week it happened again. As frustrating as this is, I called right away and went in after work. They fixed it quickly and didn't charge me a penny because the part was defective. My windshield wiper was in bad shape too and he gave me a new one! There is no doubt in my mind that this is where I'll come for my repairs in the future. Hello: I have never written a review of any kind before. Tried to use Groupon for oil change and tire rotation. Called to make appointment. I was told it was not necessary, just come before 4PM. Today, I arrived at about 1PM. I was told by an extremely rude service manager that I would have to make an appointment to come back because he doesn't have a jack for a pickup in the oil change bay. Was not asked by employee my car type when I tried to make the appointment. I live 20 miles away. Will never use again. Price seemed too good. Maybe Medford Fast Lube should stop accepting Groupons. This business has some of the most untrustworthy and shady characters I've ever encountered in the automotive repair industry around Long Island. They even did an investigative report show on scamming customers, i guess that's where they learned. They broke my studs by purposely over tightening them because i wouldn't get my brakes done there after a failed inspection. After 2 attempts in getting that taken care of, i find i'm missing a bolt off my caliper. I know i couldn't prove this in a court of law, but i'm 100% convinced that it was maliciously intentional by the way i treated and spoken to by the manager and his staff. It was basically a 4 on 1 standoff while i stood there after working 14 hours in my nursing scrubs. Just a side note, i have been going there for years to get oil changes and every time, there's something additional they attempt to sell me on....i guess i'm the dummy for giving them my continued business.
