If you're from the Philadelphia area and you like the South Street or Rittenhouse Square vibe Media is the place for you. The downtown area is quaint and it's full of unique shops of course you'll find many restaurants and bars that sell food. The restaurants and borough have specials during the warmer months on Wednesdays. The town has late dining and live jazz at times where they block off the main street for performances. Dining Under the Stars, May-September. Media especially 'downtown' is very clean. The people are nice enough not rude or overly friendly. Believe it or not Media has nice grounds near and around the County Courthouse. While there check out historical markers. The "Borough Hall" houses the actual Borough Hall (for meetings and receptions), the Media Police Department, the Community Center, and the Community Dispute Settlement facility. It is attached to a newer cinderblock building, that takes up much of the rest of the block. There is a former outbuilding from the Victorian home (a carriage house, I believe), which has also been converted to offices. The "Mansion Parlor Room" is available to rent, and holds up to 60 ppl. We had to visit the police station a few years ago when an unleashed dog attacked ours, and we had to file a report. That newer part of the building is clean, functions/flows well, and appears to serve its purpose nicely. I have used the playground but that's a separate review for another listing. There is a small lot on the property itself, but it is mainly for the police station. Most people park on the street surrounding the block, or walk from their nearby homes. As for the Community Center, again, no use, but have seen the inside and it's a nice facility. I first thought the large room was like a fieldhouse space for sports, but it is just a very large event room, which can hold up to 180 ppl, and is available to rent. There are a lot of community activities offered here throughout the year, and various exercise classes for all ages, offered almost every day of the week. This is a nicely sized facility for the size of the borough, and, as stated, takes up an entire block of town. It was planned well, and functions nicely. read more

Well this is a weird review but I'm gonna be honest. I just got a dui. Now I wasn't wasted but I was legally over the limit. The police that arrested me treated me like a human. It was my first offense. They actually comforted me the whole way. I just have to say that I was in the wrong but they didn't treat me like the idiot I was. I had three beers. (Im thin) I passed the physical sobriety tests but not the breathalyzer. Anyway.... Don't drink and drive even if you think you're ok. I blew through a stop sign and my headlights weren't on. I have a car that is supposed to have my lights on automatically lol guess not tonight. I hope no one has this happen, but if you do.... They are really nice and understanding and don't treat you like a POS. So... 5 stars for them and the whole squad. Thanks for not treating me badly and I'm more upset with myself than anyone else could be! They keep us safe. From morons like me! read more
