I looked on BCBS insurance website for an urgent care and found Family health center convenient…read morecare. I had no problems with the care. I received a bill for $357, which stated I needed a referral because I have a HMO. For urgent care services my copay is $60, no referral needed with BCBS. After talking to the insurance, I talked to convenient care. They stated they do not bill as urgent care but as a primary care physician, to save people money. They will not refile as urgent care. This is not saving my me money by cheating the insurance and not filing what their business really is.
