Let me preface this by saying that I've been extremely disappointed by all the massages I've…read morereceived in Oahu since moving here in August. I love deep tissue, ART, and really getting in there and working out whatever is wrong. Most of the other massages I've had are more of the swedish style with sweeping strokes that feel good but do very little in terms of fascia blasting or whatever happens with deep tissue. Someone recommended I try Brenda. Her shop is in Mililani and not too far from me, so I thought why not? I texted her and after working out our scheduling, managed to get an appointment fairly quickly. She works out of her home rather than a studio. I kind of liked it. She has a dog and cat so if you have allergies, just be aware. She started me off in a thing on a mattress that was supposed to do something with my blood platelets or something. No idea. But it was comfortable just relaxing for a minute before she worked on me. She also had me get into a red lamp bed (sort of like a tanning bed but with red light). I think this also helped warm up my body to make it more pliable when we moved over to the table. Here's where things got interesting. She started with a theragun. I have one at home so I was really hoping that this wasn't going to be the extent of the massage--this happened at another place i went to. But much like the red lamp thing, this was just to soften me up--a prelude to the actual massage. Much like Thai massage, Brenda gets on top of your back and uses her feet to massage you. This was pretty effective. It's definitely not as targeted as when therapists use traditional deep tissue techniques, but not far off. I would have like a little more focus on specific areas on my hip that she'd need to use her hands on but I should have said something. Anyway, she really works you over with her techniques. She also helped stretch out my legs and hip area using sort of physical therapy techniques which I loved. She adjusted my back, neck, and hip using chiropractor-like techniques. All good. Really the best part of the entire process is just Brenda's big, effervescent personality. I left with recommendations to places all over Oahu because she knows everyone. She even gave me her cookie dough recipe. If you need a legit massage rather than the useless stuff you typically get a spa or whatever, give Brenda a try. She's brilliant.

What most people don't realize is that your mind, body, and spirit are all connected so when something is misaligned it may show up as tension or pain in your body. Miranda was able to swing the pendulum and mention to me what chakras I had open or closed. Prior to the session beginning my root chakra and left ankle were showing some blockages but after the session it opened up. The sound of the sound bowls had me in a slight trance but in a good way and allowed me to be more present in the moment during my session. Miranda was very informative and you can tell that this is her passion. Thank you so much for the healing session! I feel much lighter and will pay more attention to my body, mind, and spirit! It's amazing how reiki and sound bowls really enhanced my feeling of well being!

Her technique is thorough and not invasive like other places that treat you like a potato to be mashed. Yes, I have had readings before and they were very far and different from my experience with you. They gave me insight and never dared to use my beloved grandmother as a way to get me to buy their services. I know you do Reiki. Saying my grandmother wanted me to explore reiki was cruel and disgusting, yes I said it. Furthermore, the tone and voice you used to attempt to say was my grandmother was all wrong. The fact you would then try to argue about that is truly beyond. I did appreciate the refund, because as I mentioned it was a waste of time and money. I would have understood had you said, I'm not getting anything right now, let's reconvene. But no, you had to go on with every cliché in the book. The questions I asked were to compare with readings I had previously. They were all similar only yours was garbage.

I have always kept certain feelings buried deep - fearful of voicing them out loud, but right from the start, Ling was able to address them with me. It was like she illuminated a deep, dark tunnel that I was lost in. My life was instantly changed... for the better. With her help I was able to change my mindset on certain things, release what was no longer serving me and have fun with life again. I recommend seeing Ling to any of my friends who are seeking to gain clarity in their own lives. Clarity paired with her infectious positive energy are only a few things you'll wall away with after visiting her. Hands down, Ling will always be someone I fully trust. I cannot see myself seeing any other mediums. She's it for me and I'm sure she will be too for everyone else who sees her.
