While walking around Shoppers Drug Mart we found a bunch of Mini Kinder Bars, which were perfect for gift giving. The cashier was friendly and quick. The store is neat and organized. They offer over-the-counter medications, health and beauty aids, cosmetics, fragrances, seasonal products, and household items.

The hand cream that she was using wasn't healing a thing. I found one brand that seemed promising while doing some research online. The site said that it was available at this particular Shoppers Drug Mart. The store was conveniently on my way home from work. Then again, I cut across most of the GTA, so I pass by a ton of stores! This store is in a plaza. There seemed to be a Food Basics or some green-painted grocery store that has closed down. Shoppers Drug Mart is in the corner further down. The parking area can be a bit chaotic. It's an older plaza and the lanes are more narrow than what I'm used to in suburbia. This store has been here for a while. It has everything that you'd expect it to have, including a grocery aisle. I walked every aisle and could not find the hand cream that I was looking for, which was disappointing. However, there was a Gold Bond one that was on sale. It has been approved by the Canadian Diabetes Society. It has proven results. It was also on sale. I bought it! I dropped the cream off at my parents' place. My mom said that she would try the hand cream out immediately. This morning, I spoke to my mom. She said that three hours later, she noticed a huge difference. She no longer has cracked hands. Nice! She asked me whether she could pay me back. Hearing her say that this product works is all that I wanted. The lone cashier at this store was friendly and made sure that each customer was okay. She helped out a senior ahead of me. I liked the care that she showed and the help that she gave. I'd come back here again when I'm in the area. (157)

Doesn't matter what it is, it is like a right of passage that on any shopping quest, I MUST first step through it's sacred sliding doors into the soft scents that can only be the cosmetics section (rereading that I think I may need some help......) In all honesty, I do think this is a great retail environment and not only because I seem to always need what shoppers has to offer. They really have it right on the retail environment. The layout is great, the visibility is amazing (it's always the brightest store) and the staff is friendly enough. It has everything and the mix of retail and pharmacy is great...what else are you going to do while waiting for the pharmacist to mix all the magical potions and call on the gods to create that coffee syrup (ok I'm not crazy but sometimes I do wonder why you have to wait for your prescription when the doctor wrote down the exact amount and the type...is it the handwriting they are figuring out...it's got to be so we have to shop around right???)? I am typically in this area for a couple of reasons. There's a standalone Circle K store that…read moreoffers hot drinks and hot dogs. I tend to have coupons here and there to redeem these items. A couple of times a year, I end up getting Chinese snacks from Wai Tack Kee. After getting a hot dog and latte at Circle K in mid-January, I needed a drugstore. I did a search and found this Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM) nearby and drove over to it. This SDM is in a plaza, anchored by a No Frills. The drugstore is across from a 24-hour A&W standalone restaurant without a drive-thru, which I found impressive and fascinating. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I parked and walked over to the store, noticing a couple of burned out letters in its sign. A couple of details immediately impressed me about this store: - The selection of Squishmallows was awesome. All sizes. You can definitely find at least one that tugs at your heartstrings. - Over-the-counter cold and cough medicine. This store had the most selection (it wasn't fully stocked) compared to many other SDMs that I have frequented recently. I ended up getting some vitamins. I also picked up some Diet Pepsi. I hadn't had the latter for a while. This store also has Funko Pop figures. I said hi to E.T. There is a fairly large West Indian population in this area. It was cool seeing plantain chips in bags here. It was my first time seeing them at a SDM. I paid for my items at the self-checkout. It was straightforward scanning my items and PC Optimum card, and then paying with a debit card. There was one cashier helping a few people out, so I hopped over to pay for my items at the self-checkout and leave. I had a great experience here. We were looking for some reusable straws which we weren't able to find. They did have reusable bottles located in the baby section (all sippy cup style) and some water bottles that were located in the grocery section. These had built in straws. While we were perusing the grocery section I noticed they had a pretty significant Asian food section compared to the size of the grocery area. Pretty impressive and smart since the area is predominantly Asian! We were there pretty close to closing time. None of the registers were manned but they have 3 self check-outs that are separated by plexiglass. There was hand sanitizer located at the exit.

I could have visited my local one, but I wanted to try a SDM that I had never been to. I remembered this drugstore that I always drive by, but have never visited. It's the Agincourt Mall location, but it's a standalone store on the northwest corner of Kennedy and Sheppard Avenue East. Eons ago, this corner used to have an M&M's Food Market. It was my first time ever visiting this franchise. It's sadly gone. There was lots of parking here at around 6:30 pm. I found a parking spot fairly close to the entrance and backed into it. I then walked in. Like most SDM stores, this one is set up as expected. You walk through the doors and the beauty section greets you. I needed toothpaste. The oral hygiene aisle was close by. I was pleased to grab a tube of Sensodyne toothpaste that was on sale. It is a large store. It was bright and clean when I was there. I have been using facial wipes lately. I like how they clean my eyelashes and eyelids nicely. These wipes are a party of my dry eye care. I found a package of Nivea facial wipes that were heavily reduced. I grabbed a package. I briefly looked at the vitamin section. A lot of them were on sale. I enjoyed looking at the Easter merchandise and the plushies. Nothing was on sale, but everything was so cute! I checked out the cold drinks. I needed a beverage. I got two bottles of Diet Pepsi. The Diet Pepsi hit the spot as I drove home. This store has self-checkout kiosks. There wasn't a human available. I had no problem scanning everything, followed by my PC Optimum barcode on my phone. I paid with a credit card. I tapped my phone and my payment was done. I like that this store is open till midnight. The hours are much better than my local one that closes at 8 pm. I'm so glad that I finally visited this store.
