What a wonderful, loving place! McPaws is such a gem in this community. They rescue, house, and…read moreadopt out companion animals... but they do so much more. They foster kittens and puppies, advocate for animals locally, and have a bunch of events to raise funds for low-cost spays and neuters. The facility is lovely and the cat area has just been remodeled. They even have scratching posts in the cages for the cats. I've never seen that at a shelter before! They also have a treadmill to help exercise the dogs, which I bet comes in very handy when there's lots of snow on the ground! The volunteers and staff are so friendly and helpful. They're so kind! The McPaws web site has a 'wish list' of items they really need. Check the list before you stop by so you can donate some postage stamps, plastic grocery bags or paper towels (or whatever's on the list that you might have extras of lying around).

We adore the two pups that we now have in our family and words cannot express the depth of appreciation we have for their kindness, generosity, and drive to help us succeed. They know their stuff. We have learned so much and appreciate their honest approach in "training us" to uphold the training our pups are receiving because training an animal is not like sending it off to school and hoping for the best, it's a team approach with the whole family involved. I have no doubts we'll have the best dogs (we already get so many compliments, and I'm convinced an entire store has now fallen in love with our pups from their daily walks).
