Several weeks ago, My heat pump quit working. I suspected a Capacitor was the problem. Which can be purchased online from $15 to $30. They showed up promptly, and within 10 minutes, was done and said that it was a bad capacitor. The bill was for $265.00. Of which I never received an invoice. That is a lot of money as I am on disability from a host of medical problems from exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. But I bit the bullet, thinking I would never call these folks again. The Unit started up but has not cooled my home like it did before. I ultimately wrote a review and the next day got a call from Meeks asking If I could call and set up an appointment. I'm scared to do that, as I may be setting myself up to get retaken. I believe I'll just live with being scammed and find someone more trustworthy, as I have no trust in The Meeks family. My AC stopped working yesterday. I was distressed because the 5 day forcast was predicted to be upwards of 90 degrees for the next 5 days, and this was the start of a holiday weekend. I called Meeks afterhours and left a voicemail message. They called me back this morning before 8:00 AM to schedule an appointment for a tech to come out to troubleshoot the issue. Patrick called about 30 minutes before my appointment, arrived on time. He performed a thorough check, and resolved the issue within 15 minutes. He was very cordial, professional, and courteous. I called a few companies to get a quote. This is the only company that came out to give me a quote. Crazy. I called close to closing time on Thursday and they were able to come out to me the next day around the end of the day,Which was perfect because I didn't have to take off of work. The technician came out and was able to work around my unique situation with my child. He was accommodating and didn't act weird about the situation. Super cool guy. Great people to work with. Had a new unit installed at a reasonable price (plus I was afforded a veterans discount) and wound up having the system mysteriously turn off on my wireless thermostat. We received a yelp discount through online search and noticed the high ratings this company had. Meeks Heating & Air were able to assess my air conditioning problem within two days and it is when the heat of summer was at it's highest temperatures. Thankfully Ryan the technician was able to fix it promptly and add in the free-on that the unit needed to get it back to working conditions. Air went out last night and wife called around 10 AM. We are wary of service people based on initial AC install. Original install was reconfigured 3 times based on onsite tech did not like effort of previous tech. Not my issue but took too much of my time. Called next door neighbor if he knew of quality HVAC and he recommended Meeks. He too had gone through multiple services and Meeks Air was the best. She made the appointment, which was 3 hours later. We called Meeks after reading the other fantastic reviews, and we were not disappointed. We wanted a professional to come look at our system to help us determine proper next steps for our house not heating/cooling consistently. Our house is a 1950's gem, but the bedrooms are consistently hot or cold (depending on season) while the living spaces stay cool. The very friendly technician came out and thoroughly searched the space for any signs of duct damage or leaks. He'd never seen air vents like ours so the owner, Mr. Meeks came out himself. He gave my husband a thorough explanation of what type of repairs we'd need to make to ultimately heat/cool the home, but in the meantime, he helped my husband find a long, lost damper to push air back to the bedrooms. Problem solved, for now. We will definitely call Meeks when we're ready to take on the expense of the larger repairs. They are honest and fair and genuinely care about their customers. read more

Darrell came to my house on 9/27 to look at my AC. He diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes gave me a quote for the repair. He had the part on the truck so my AC was fixed in less than 15 min! Wow. He also adjusted my airfilter slot so I could change the filters easily no charge! Darrell was professional and considerate of my needs.
