I've been seeing Meg for close to a decade now, and her work is life-changing. She takes a compassionate and holistic approach to health and creates a true sense of comfort within her space. My primary physical ailment is a standard sciatic back, but she also listens to how I am feeling mentally, emotionally, and physically in other areas to determine the best approach. After scouring the greater Los Angeles area, looking for the perfect massage, alas, I HAVE FOUND HER!! Meg is hands down the best masseuse I have been to in years. Wow. I recently had my first massage with Meg and wish I had been going to her for years. I got a 1.5 hour myofascial release massage, which I have never had before. It was a remarkable experience, once that I plan to repeat every two weeks. Five stars aren't enough for the magical hands of Meg Aguilar! Meg has been our massage therapist since February 1999! She has provided an incredible service to both myself and my husband; her massages have totally supported both our physical and emotional health and well-being. I am a masseuse's nightmare, ie, I have MANY health issues like chronic vertigo, a recovering "frozen shoulder", chronic low back pain and neck pain to name a few. Meg has been MASTERFUL in working with each and every one of my physical vulnerabilities over the years. She adapted the level of pressure she applied to my needs, and I was able to experience the benefit of her thoughtful work via tissue/muscle release, decreased pain, increased flexibility, greater range of motion, and an overall sense of heightened relaxation and well-being. During periodic episodes of vertigo, I was unable to lie face-down. Meg had me sit on her table and proceeded to work on my neck, back, shoulders and hips in that position! In recent years, she has been using the hot rock technique on us. I love it, and my body really responds to her thoughtful ministrations with the rocks. Unlike many lesser-skilled massage therapists, Meg really knows how to work with the rocks safely and, of course, they aid and abet the "loosening up" process of my extremely tight body. Meg used a deep tissue technique on my husband. He has derived ENORMOUS benefit from her work with him, most notably markedly less overall body discomfort/tightness, and increased flexibility. Her massage is also one of the very few things that allows him to genuinely RELAX. Also, Meg is a wonderful person. She is warm, responsible, highly ethical and caring. She is SUPERBLY skilled in massage technique and has a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. She is also extremely intuitive about what each of us needs.
