This review is for the location at 1821 Albion Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 5W8. If I could give zero stars for Mega City, I would. My fiance and I had no idea what kind of trouble we were getting ourselves into when we ran into the owner Chris Jakubowski on one of our dog walks. He said he would make sure we were taken care of when it came to the hall decor because Mega City Linen was connected with our venue, The Doctor's House. We thought we had a hook up so I phoned immediately and made an appointment. Everything seemed fine at first even though we chose a few items (1 linen, a money box and 2 large standing vases, all under $100). They even recommended a florist, which we went with. However, things got extremely difficult when I called to cancel the 2 large standing vases. We were forced to accept that we wouldn't get our money back for the items we didn't want but we had credit to use toward other items. Through email, I asked employee Jennifer for an updated digital copy of our contract so it would be on record. After that didn't happen, I called and left a message because Jennifer was busy. I never received a call back. Throughout the last couple months before our wedding, we chased Mega City through phone and email, repeatedly asking for an updated contract. Their communication was extremely poor and it's like after we didn't want items, they stopped being helpful and they couldn't care less since they already had our payment. We even got our wedding coordinator involved and through her we found out that Jennifer wasn't even working there anymore. I wrote a complaint email to the owner Chris and thought since we met him personally, that he would help the situation. But I was wrong and he didn't lift a finger or email me back. We dealt with the new employee named Toni and at our inconvenience, my fiance had to go up to their office for a third time to pick out additional linens. It turns out that the linens listed weren't even the right ones picked from our first visit. And after all that trouble, Mega City expected us to pick them up ourselves because they didn't deliver. My fiance ran into the owner Chris on that same day and told him what was happening and Chris' answer to all that was that "he was too busy to answer all his emails". This company is a complete mess. I have a strong feeling that the 5 star reviews you see on the internet for Mega City are written by people who are connected to the other employees or by family--which makes them biased and invalid. Don't waste your time trying to chase this company and play phone and email tag with them. They may be cheaper but you get what you pay for. My friend got married and used them for her reception. I was a part of her bridal party and knew everything that was going on. The bridal party and friends helped out the night before the wedding to set up and that is where we found MANY discrepancies; 1. The father of the bride had to go pick up and drop off the order and later when looking at the bill they charged them a delivery fee even after multiple emails explaining that there was never a delivery made by them. 2. When opening the order we stated to notice that there might not be everything here that was ordered. I along with at least 4 others counted all the linens, went over the order that was placed (three times we did this btw), and found out indeed not everything was there. The moment we found out, as the bride was starting too stressed (who wouldn't be the night before your wedding?!) a bridesmaid called them on behalf of the bride stating all the information; the date of the wedding, the name the order was under etc. She left them her number and to call as soon as possible. She still has not heard from them (granted the bride is now in contact with them). Not only did they not respond to the message, they called the day AFTER the wedding, saying we should have called the day of the wedding so they 'could have helped'. Who calls on the day of the wedding?!? and least of all, the bride?! 3. It's sad that this is how a company wants to operate. Many in the bridal party emailed them stating that we all saw that they had in fact not given everything that was ordered, it was NOT delivered, left a voice message, and did not get any response to said message. 4. Also they charged for the linens that we weren't given, AND their linens had stains, and horrible crusty like blotches on them. Yeah, so if you want that, by all means go and book them. Mega City Linens is decently priced, however, extremely poor customer service. It is better to spend a little more money to go with companies that will go the extra mile especially if they make an error. I ordered 15 linens and only 12 arrived by the promised date. I was not advised by Mega City that the linens did not arrive. I spent 2 hours trying to figure out a solution as Mega City was unable to delivery the 3. They offered to leave it outside of the venue and I would be responsible if they were lost/stolen/damaged. Finally an employee was able to deliver to the venue the day before my shower. I called the day before only to find out it was delivered to the wrong venue and they could not locate it. I personally called the incorrect venue and located the linens and brought them to my own shower. read more

Ranvir was one of my bridesmaids. Everything she said is true. We had so many issues from them and in the end the rude office staff trying to blame me for not calling them repeatedly the day of my wedding was just absolutely terrible and ridiculous. We have tried to contact them several times in several different ways and they still refuse to acknowledge me or even simply apologize. Terrible scam of a company...I would not recommend them to anyone. read more
