Burgers have an amazing charbroiled flavor and the combination of the lettuce tomato etc make this one of my favorite local burgers. Fries are decent but the fried zucchini are 9/10 Ranch is absolutely delicious 10/10 and pairs well with everything. Don't cheap out on the .50 for a ranch cup, thank me later. This restaurant right has always been my favorite go to place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner ever since moving to the area in 2003! Their menu ranges from burgers, sandwiches, gyros, burritos, salads, and even pasta... out of everything I must say their burgers are the best in the area - my go to is the Char West Bacon Burger, but any burger you order such as the Mushroom Swiss Burger is equally as delicious as the other. When you place your order of fries along with your main entree you absolutely need to have their ranch along with it (especially if you're a ranch connoisseur). The service is polite, prompt, and outstanding while the ambiance of the restaurant has a dated charm that makes you feel like you're at a diner off of an old highway... quite frankly I love it! I don't know why it took sooooo many years for me to write a review about my favorite restaurant in the area, but I'm glad I finally did. If you're in the area... you have to try this place even if it's at least once :) the price is more than fair and they give you a good amount of quality food. We have been coming here for years We usually come for breakfast and lunch, but for awhile now we come for dinner on Wednesday around 7pm, they say they close at 10pm. I just moved to the area and this is my new favorite burger joint. They cook the burgers perfectly and when I ask for extra toppings, they really load up my onion pickle, lettuce, and tomato. French fries are perfectly cooked. I also had a Mediterranean plate there before and it was delicious. Will be going back to try to breakfast, as I heard it is very good ( heard the chilaquiles are delicious.) It's very clean inside and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful and welcoming. I've been coming here for almost two decades. All of my friends and family know how much I love Mega Toms. I even had a tradition of "Thursday Night Toms" for a long period. I was okay when they changed what they fry the fries in, we sucked it up when they changed the packaging for the kid's chicken strip meal so the fries were ALWAYS soggy... but you lost me entirely now that the chicken strips are just chicken nugget paste shaped into the form of a strip. INCONCEIVABLE. Maybe it a little dramatic for comedic effect, but it helps to smile through the pain. There's plenty of other small things that have turned me off of this spot after nearly two decades of dedicated dining; ever since the lady wearing the choker left, drive thru can never remember to include the side of ranch, an order of fries is frequently missing from the bag, etc. Kinda seems like that lady was holding the drive thru together, I miss her. read more

The double bacon cheese burger was huge and delish!! I passed full less than 1/2 way through, but kept stuffing it in because it tasted so good. Not a good idea. The only way to get the fries is extra crispy. They don't get burned, just super crispy. Took off 1 star for service - after food was dropped off, no one even glanced at me, much less asked if everything was o.k. This was ~500 p.m., there was only one other table with 4 people at it. There were more employees than customers, so no excuse for the lack of service. And they only serve Pepsi!! I absolutely hate Pepsi. This was my first time here. I specifically came for the Greek chicken salad. I was told they have a great salad. It came with a side of pita bread, and I ordered a small side of tzatziki sauce. The first thing I tried was a tzatziki sauce with the pita bread, and it was fabulous. You could taste the garlic and chunks of cucumber and definitely made fresh. I've made my own before, and I would say this is even better than mine, which really says! A lot! Next I was eating in my car and the Greek salad was so huge. I was worried I was going to make a mess. Tons of chicken on top. Served a little warm and very moist. Not one piece was dry. The mustard Greek dressing has vinegar in it, and it is unbelievably delicious. I would buy that Dressing to use at home. I'm definitely someone that appreciates good dressing and I would say that is right up there with some of my favorites. The Greek salad is ridiculous. It is so good. I am coming back tomorrow. I lived in Murrieta for a while, when my husband and I were first married. Tom's was our pit stop every weekend before heading out for our newly wed adventures together. This place is full of memories of love and laughter and will always hold a special place for me. The staff were always kind and friendly, and you'd get to know the same faces that worked there over the years. The food: it is not fancy or high end, it is diner food made to order and you get a lot of bang for your buck. We always came for breakfast, and I'd almost always order my usual croissant egg sandwich with cheese. The inside has been remodeled since my first times going to Toms. There is also a small outdoor patio, and a drive through. I'd recommend this place to anyone if you're in the area or heading down to San Diego.
