Very small gym, poor customer service and insufficient equipment. Do yourself a favor and find another gym.

I joined this club during my MB vacation. I went there 4 times. I have rarely encountered such a well organized and well equipped facility. I was able to do all of my typical exercises. Everything is where it should be! So unusual. I never saw a plate or a dumbbell out of place. Employees were polite and efficient. The cardio deck is well appointed with a variety of stair climbers, treadmills, elliptical, and even an assault bike and a rower! I was pleased that MegaFitness had a full complement of hammer strength machines as well. Thanks to you guys for making my vacation a time to continue making gains! read more

I was in the north Myrtle Beach area for work and the hotel had a less than appealing gym Attachment however they did have free passes to the mega fitness gym. Really nice gym very good clean equipment, both hammer strength and free weights with some unique attributes as well. Really nice people, if I lived here, this would be my home gym. read more

This little gym has a good variety of equipment. I'm a competitive bodybuilder in contest prep. I was surprised at the variety equipment and that they had everything I needed. There's also a good variety of cardiovascular machines as well. It's not a fancy gym but it is 24 seven access if you go with a week pass. Very happy with this place. read more

Excellent gym! Friendly staff. Beats any commercial gym. Equipment is all great and well maintained. Clean everything. $35 for a week pass is a steal! The owners are very friendly and welcome vacationers like they are year long members. If you are Police/Fire/Military you are in good Company as well. read more

I regularly come to MB for summer and spring break vacation, this year while here, I searched for a local gym and found a very good, very friendly gym! This isn't a PF, you can actually lift here! Never crowded during the day and plenty of cardio equipment and plenty of other equipment too! Mega Fitness offers daily, weekly, even a 3 day pass that allowed me 24/7 access! And at a discount for military! The location is great (in the shopping center of Kroger's on North Kings Highway), the equipment was modern and the workout areas and bathrooms were both very clean, nothing more you can ask for! read more

Mega fitness offers a reasonably priced day pass ($13) and 3 day pass ($33) for vacationers. Includes 24 hour access. The gym has everything you could need including a wide variety of free weights, plate loaded and cable machines and cardio equipment . The front desk (Liz) was extremely helpful and even helped us plan the restaurants and activities we would visit during our stay. I highly recommend ! read more

Pretty cool gym. Has what you need for a great workout. Can be humid in there but I didn't mind. Very friendly staff. Clean bathroom and facility. The plates are old school which is what I like. Price wasn't bad for a week either but that's your opinion on how worth it is to you to get a good workout in. read more

Joined for the second time while on vacay so I thought I'd write a review. I'm a CrossFit guy but wanted to go "old school" and just lift. This place fit the bill. No bells and whistles here but that's fine. It's bare-bones and that's what I was looking for. Plenty of weights and no issues getting equipment even during peak morning hours. So why 4 stars instead of 5? There are "rules" printed everywhere around the gym. I've never seen so many in a gym before and I found it odd. I feel like the owners can accomplish the same task by having short term members sign off on a list and long term can get emailed reminders. That aside, great gym to work on the beach bod. read more

I just joined this gym and have been loving it. Unlike other gyms I've been to, no matter what time I come in, I'll always find that the equipment and machines I need are available. The staff is always friendly and I feel comfortable working out. The members tend to be a little older so they are there to work out and get things done, not strut around and stare at themselves flexing in the mirror (you know who you are). I've heard this is the only 24/7 gym in the area, however, I haven't researched the area extensively to see if this is actually true. This gym has everything you NEED, no frills, no fluff. Plus the rates were amazing! Only wish they had more group exercise classes like Zumba or some type of dance. Right now they offer Pilates, Butt and Gut, and Pump it. Such a wonderful gem of a gym! It has great equipment and just about anything you need for a great work out. there are ample amounts of weights, benches, machines and cardio machines. there is a large aerobics room in which you can enter at your leisure for your own personal fitness routine that you wouldn't want to perform in the main floor. they offer a variety of "memberships" for those on vacation. you can pay by the day, pay for three classes, or weekly unlimited (the last option grants you the access to 24/7 and participate in fitness classes). Its clean and well kept. the bathroom had complimentary toiletries to use. its reasonably priced. the parking is great. The manger/owner is super helpful and friendly. read more

My wife and I wanted to catch a workout this morning and found a little piece of heaven! I have been working out for the past 30 years and have become so tired of the franchise gyms. This place is like the gyms from the 1980's and 1990's. It is clean and has every piece of equipment you can possible need to workout with weights. I regularly come to MB for summer vacation (past 18 years) and generally just walk around Barefoot Resort for my exercise. This year while here, it was just to hot and my plantar fasciitis was killing me walking 5-7 miles on those concrete sidewalks. So I searched for a local "gym" and found a local "gem"! In years past, I could never find a gym that would offer a daily drop-in rate. Mega Fitness has solved that problem. At about $8 a day (less the more days you purchase) there's complete access to the entire gym. The location is convenient (in the shopping center of Kroger's on North Kings Highway), the equipment very modern and the workout areas and bathrooms very clean. To top it off, the owner was super friendly and even gave me great advice to help my foot issues. This will be my gym for as long as we keep coming here and for as long as they are there!! Don't think twice. Just drop on by!! One thing. They advertise that they are open 24/7, but that's for regular members with an access card. Temporary drop-in members can only work out during hours when a staff member will be there to let you in. Call to check on those times. While I was there I couldn't get in before 9 am. read more

This is an awesome gym for any out of towner. I'm from myrtle beach and know a bunch of gyms where I could of gotten a good workout, but this is one of the best. The customer service is awesome Ben runs the front like a champ and Kyle the owner and one of his workers Matt are two very knowledgeable and caring guys who helped me spot some heavy weight and gave me awesome directions where everything was. A fine gym. I stopped in to Mega Fitness lately, on a day pass, and it was a positive experience. The facility was clean and comfortable, and stocked with a full range of equipment and free weights (plus a stretching area, an exercise room, and cardio machines, I noticed). The men's locker room, too, was pleasing and well-kept. The cashier was friendly and attentive, and in the end, I had a good, problem-free workout.
