I just had lunch at Lena's. It was a beautiful, warm, breezy day in Potsdam and the patio (with…read morelarge umbrellas) was a great place to spend an hour or so. I had a Bulgarian beer (a first) and the sampler platter, which included a small salad, a paprika pepper stuffed with cheese, a delicious piece of grilled, marinaded chicken, and a battered and deep-fried ground beef kabob. But best of all was the Bulgarian "catsup," which is far superior to the American version. The servers had passable English, were helpful but not hovering, but the kitchen was a bit slow--even at lunch with only six other customers.
