Other stations looked difficult to get in and out of for the direction I was going, and then this place appeared. Located just east of downtown Mooresville along Main Street, this dual entrance station has the entrances far enough apart that it makes for easy transitions to the highway. Here, Main Street has only limited traffic so I don't have to worry about backed up traffic or waiting for lights to change like I do at corner stations. The multiple bay area is also sheltered all the way to the convenience store/cashier so you don't have to be rained on. The pumps are modern and give you the payment options before fueling. They also have disposable gloves AND hand sanitizers (stocked!) for convenience too! Never saw either of those at my regular stations. Inside, the restrooms were clean and directly to the right of the doors so you don't have to wander though the aisles or passed people waiting at the cashiers unless you want to make a purchase. They do have a coffee station, a hot meal station (hot dogs, etc), and even some refrigerated sandwiches in addition to the rows of packaged snacks. Outside, they sell ricks of firewood, window washing fluid, and have a pay per use vacuum for your car interior on the east end of the lot. Cashier looked at me like I was the problem when I told the customer next to me "I don't have time for this s**t". She got up and with an attitude and looked at me like I had two heads she started "jeez I didn't see you were waiting" I told her I didn't see her either but pointed out her coworker ignoring me. The younger one said "oh, yeah shes always doing something like that". I'm all for employees being able to sit and rest but to be ignored is something else.

The pumps have new card readers and work well. Right now, High Street is under construction for the Spring and Summer of 2022. The intersection on which the station sits was completed last year. So entering and exiting off Indiana Ave is easy enough. The one driveway entrance that is closed will probably open up as soon as the sidewalk is done.

In the the case of IND, there's no need to worry as there's a gas station right at the airport entrance, and at least a few more beyond this Mobil station where we stopped. We stopped for convenience, as it was on the side we were driving and access was well lit (in early morning), with easy in and out. My only complaint was pulling in and then finding out that my pump was out-of-service. So it was back in the car and moving to another island. Past that, it was a unremarkable rental car fill up. And I made sure I took my receipt as I've had situations where they charged for fuel anyway and I needed to correct their mistake with proof.

And don't forget your receipt. I had to go inside to get the receipt for this Speedway Station as it's more common than not that the pump-side printer fails. Past that, the per gallon price was around $1.50 less than what I normally pay in the Bay Area, so no complaints there. The station is on the right side of the road, just beyond the turnoff. So it was an easy in, a fast fill up, and a quick on our way.

In…read morefact, I can't think of any other gas stations in the area, so if you pull off to go to the park and fly, or are staying at the hotel, it is a great place to go with lots of bays. The equipment at the pumps is modern and seemed in good working condition and easy to use. There is also an air pump and vacuum station on the west end, but I didn't use it to know the specifics. I will say that although the pump area was clean, many of the islands did not have window cleaning squeegies and paper towels available. The water/cleaning fluid was bone dry as well on the first two islands, so that could definitely be maintained better. I didn't need to shop inside, so I can't comment on the availability and cleanliness there. Review #2870
