It's totally self-service. There is an assistant available at the honk of your horn, which is nice. In the past we've run into problems with our card or a particular pump acting up. This helper has always alleviated anything out of the norm for us. So that's pretty good service. This location has incredibly long lines. I would never wait during prime time for gas. Having said that, there are always circumstances that occur from time to time (like not watching my fuel level or time and convenience) where I just look for a decent price close to where I am. In this case, we were at our regular monthly visit to Michigan College of Beauty (free haircuts for police, fire, and veterans...ask for details) and this Sunoco is practically next door. Prices at this Sunoco are fairly competitive, it looks pretty clean, and with the common use of Pay at the Pump I had no interaction with a human so nothing negative to report. So I could save myself another stop if I filled up here. Over all a decent place to get gassed.

The current gas price to me was low at $ 2.77 per gal, Compared to $ 2.88 in Macomb Township when I left at 9am. I used $0.50 rewards off the gas price to make my purchase $2.27. Instead of paying at the pump with a personal credit card, I went inside the building to pay with cash. The cashier behind glass was "Marsheila". She was very pleasant with a smile and knew her job, by asking me if I was a loyalty Kroger member and if I wanted to cash in points which I said yes. I gave her my cell phone with my Key Ring app already opened since I am organized ahead to scan it and verified the $0.50 credit off the price. She also thanked me and said have a nice day. That was great to hear at 3:25 in the afternoon after a long morning visiting with my Mom . This location area is busy on 13 Mile Road, across the street from Meijer store/ gas and from Speedway gas. All 3 fuel stations seem to be competitive with their prices or today they were All the same ! I'm glad they finally put up a new Kroger Fuel station here to assist customers after shopping for food. One can get back on the freeway and be on their way when needing gas or shopping. There are 12 digital pumps at the station so many Vehicles can stop to purchase gas, hot or cold beverages, snacks and even automotive supplies inside this little Fuel Center building. Outside the building is an Arctic Ice cooler chest selling bag ice for $1.99 per bag. And A blue rhino propane tank area is available at 19.99 The parking lot is rather small so it would be kind of tight to bring in a rig to fuel up for diesel and maneuver through the parking lot and exit. The Kroger gas location on Gratiot near 13 Mile Road is much bigger to accommodate semi trucks. FYI I noticed on my receipt that the phone number for this Kroger Fuel #74 is different than listed out on Yelp, so I did send Yelp team a comment message that the phone number is either incorrect or needs to be changed. Would help for future Yelp customers if needing INFORMATION to this location when traveling on the freeway.

The owner works early mornings, probably most of the day, and he's the epitome of how a store should be run. I told him one day I didn't need a bag and he said, he just wanted to take care of me. They redid the station and the store is very nice. So clean, plenty of delicious snacks. They have a nice cooler with plenty of drinks, candy, your typical gas station store fare but the kids really love shopping for their favorite Arizona drinks and assorted snacks. The individual working here was very nice and friendly. They even have a good section in the middle with cold sandwiches and salads that looked very tempting. The Sarokis offers pizza, chicken, tenders, fries, chicken sandwiches, cheese bread, and more. I am sure this will be competition for Crispy Crunchy Chicken locations. The gas was a bit pricey (I do not mean just for now due to circumstances outside their control) I just mean a pricier station than Costco (obviously).
