Stopped in from out of town: this is a wonderful grocery store! They have a wide selection in 100s of items. It seemed clean and well arranged. The fresh produce was beautiful on display for shoppers. The aisles were well marked so that we could easily find what we wanted. At the self checkout when an item didn't scan, the assistant was Johnny-on-the-spot to ably correct the problem. The store had a large number of shoppers, but there was no wait to check out. I did not go to the non-grocery side, but I wish we had a Meijer in Atlanta. read more

it's been two weeks now and they never have the medicine I need. Where am I supposed to go if the pharmacy doesn't carry the medicine I need. This is bull if you ask me. I asked them why they do not have it lately and the pharmacist simply said because corporate hasn't been ordering it. I guess they don't want me as a customer. This store lacks character, but everything you need is here, and they have very fresh fruits and veggies- what's not to love about that? I love all of the convenience packs they make for you so you don't have to chop up all the veggies. Yes, I am a bit lazy that way, but it's less waste and mess in my kitchen so it's totally worth it. I can't say much for anything else in the store, as I only shop there for the food. read more

I do not understand why they have a deli. I asked for 1 lb of chicken breast cut thick and was told I could get it already cut and packaged in one of their coolers. So why act like you are going to have a deli? I am sure the lady behind the counter was following what she was supposed to do, so this is no knock on her. So I went elsewhere to spend my money. I'm a Meijer fan all around, but this location has such friendly people! I was standing back from an aisle deciding which veggies to get for snacks and a woman stocking the produce asked me if I needed any assistance within a few seconds of me standing there. The Michigan craft beer selection isn't as extensive as the Grand Haven location, but for overall grocery shopping this is a great choice. There are many other businesses around so you can take care of all your errands in one trip! read more

Beware if you are a black male 16 an older going into Meijer on Norton.I have been followed by security on multiple occasions I have multiple videos to prove it.The cashiers have a real snotty attitude an will not give you change 4quarters or maybe its just me they won't give change to I recommend going to a different Meijers branch. The one on Harvey or perhaps the one in North Muskegon. read more

Overall not to bad of a Meijer. Not maintained as well as the Grand Haven location, but way nicer than any Walmart in the Muskegon area. The staff was very nice and greeted you as you walked in. I was there to purchase fresh meat from the deli for a weekend trip up north to our cabin and the folks working the deli were friendly and quick. I gave them a 3 star because the place was not the tidiest and gave off that "Walmart" vibe. (Not a good thing) I live directly in the middle of this Meijer and the Grand Haven Meijer (Spring Lake) and will most likely only shop at this location if I am on my way up to the cabin. read more

I miss Meijer! Grew up in MIchigan and loved going to Meijers for everything. I used to be able to get all my Christmas shopping done in one stop: music, books, toys, electronics, food, wine.... My sister-in-law and I went here to pick up a load of groceries for a big chicken fajita night at the house and found loads of good deals! We bought a ton of chicken, beans, rice, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, salsa, tortillas, soda.... you name it. Also, grabbed a dozen frosted silly cupcakes for the birthday boys at home for only $5.99. Overall, enough food to feed 12-15 people, for only $75. Fantastic. Main reason they lose a star is for the self check out lanes which were packed. Why you ask? I picked a lane with only one person in it, checking out. Should go fast right? Well just listen to the comment my sis-in-law says and you'll understand... "They really shouldn't let people over 55 check out their own groceries!" HA HA! Ugh, so slow. :) But I'll never hate on the Meijers! read more

If the self checkout is going to be nearly the only option please fix your system. The checkout process has a lot of room for improvement. I always dread that part of the experience at Meijer, enough that I will choose to shop elsewhere if it's too busy. read more

We were at checkout 18 around 7 on 4/9. The girl at the register was very unfriendly and packed our groceries to where the pie and cookies were broken and never said a word to us from the time we put our groceries on the belt. In fact as I put them on she would move it forward. Her name was Alyia or something close. She practically threw my wife's coupons and receipt in her hand. Very disappointed. read more

Meijer has everything, and I mean EVERYTHING! Seriously! I'm standing next to a full on legit kayak holding socks, an official iPad video cable, not a knock off (priced at $29, not $40+ btw), and broccoli. I grew up in Michigan, just like the first review, and have missed is since being in Cali. if you're ever trapped in Michigan, cause let's be honest, most californians don't go to Michigan by choice, you mist stop by meijer. read more

These are the thriftiest acres around. Frederick Meijer would be proud.. Need more House Salads. Nice interior. Nice products good prices. Love the greeters, they are seasoned like me. They say that all meijers have the same floor plans, but that can't be. In some I can't find things and one time I got lost for a few hours and I couldn't even find the exit. read more

I printed out my graduation invitations here and had to send them to the printer three times, which meant I had to remake them three times. When they finally got the order in, they had all three of them and then we found out the printer was 'clogged'. Yeah that's the word they used. Such a hassle! read more

They put the lenses in the frames opposite of what they should be and one lens is crooked in the frame a lot. will not go there again. nice people but very poor work. read more
