He suggested I move the ball back in my stance a bit and keep my eyes focused on the front of the ball. Wow! That sure worked. I shot 81 at TPC and didn't hit anything fat. What an enjoyable round of golf! We had time to work on the full swing too and what I liked about Russ' approach is that he didn't try to force his swing style on me. He made minor adjustments to my swing that I could easily incorporate. (How many times have you taken a lesson and the pro tries to make you do stuff that you can't do? And you immediately revert to what you were doing and feel you just wasted time and money.) The one hour lesson flew by and I felt I really got my money's worth! You can't beat the $65 senior rate. I'm a senior golfer that has a lot of medical challenges and he just listened and made the adjustment. I went from hitting the ball all over the place to hitting 85% of fairways. Unbeknownst to me I was not setting up square to the ball since I had bypass heart surgery. I'm amazed at how I'm hitting the ball now. If you have you people getting into the game please take them to Tyler first so he gets them on the right track before they have a chance to learn the bad habits.

This pro Angel Diaz was a jerk from the moment we paid. I think he might be mentally challenged…read morebecause he doesn't understand the concept of pace of play . He came out to us twice and asked us to speed up when there was no one within a hole and a half behind us. Threatened to make us skip holes and just ruined our experience. Our foursome finished the round in 4 hours on the dot and was rushed.

This is a lovely old course we found challenging due to the Bermuda grass. Wedgefield is experiencing a downturn in their greens conditions currently due to the recent heavy rains in SC, but we are sure Christian and his team will get them back to pristine soon. One item to note is Wedgefield Plantation's stay and play offer. The men in our foursome want a guy's golf getaway there as Wedgefield Plantation offers members guest rates to other area courses near them. Great value we thought! We hope to visit Wedgefield Plantation again in the future. Even if it's only for their pizza!

I cannot express enough what a great experience it is working with the Wedgefield staff and playing this fun course.  The course is fun and challenging and the staff is truly the best you will find anywhere!! The customer service, from the top down, is unrivaled! From the moment we pulled up, staff were there to greet us with a smile (actually IN the parking lot), began unloading our golf clubs, had our carts assigned, names on carts,  lined up, and ready to go, even though we were late in getting our information to them the evening before.  The Pro even managed to get my group out (with six groups) all at the same time so we could finish up in time for lunch, which was a blessing in 100° heat!  He then even came out to check on us on the course! The pub is also cute, comfortable, amazing and welcoming. They treated us and accommodated us like we were family. As an organizer, they made me look good! We will be going back as often as we can to play this course. It truly is a hidden gem!
