The char-grilled chicken or lamb is cooked perfectly and come with plenty of salad all encased in fresh pita. You even get to choose your sauce, and take it from me choose the garlic sauce. Your breathe won't thank you but your taste buds will! You can get sides here but its about the kebabs. However, it is the kebabs that I generally come here for, and as I said, the kebabs are awesome. In fact, this place is generally open rather late, which also works pretty well. They do have a sitdown area, though that area is really only open earlier on in the evenings, but the takeaway part is open much later. Yeah, this place is awesome, and highly recommended.

Its not like you are going to propose to your partner over a kebab is it??? In a nutshell, its just a tiny little shop on the outside edge of Northcote Plaza which does very very very nice kebabs. The staff are very nice and the service is good. There are a few bins nearby for the wrapping and you can often get a parking spot right out the front! They provide tabloid newspapers for customers to read while waiting for their orders and the food is simply nice food. Kebabs are probably not the healthiest food in town, and the shop is not the funkiest shop around but it does what a kebab shop is supposed to do - and that is serve tasty kebabs quickly for a fair price. And it does all of this brilliantly! The great man would love this place: "You know it makes sense, Im Sam Kekovich"

I used to love going to Charlie's and getting my morning coffee there everyday, I waited along with everyone else for up to 10 minutes to get my takeaway coffee and was content - Charlie's seemed like the busiest café on campus so surely it had the best coffee, right? Wrong. Charlie's is busy because it is convenient and they make the coffee quickly and deal well with large numbers. It wasn't until I started branching out and sampling a few other brews at nearby cafes that I changed my mind. Charlie's is great if you need a quick coffee and aren't too fussy or are looking for a hearty lunch. The kebabs are still brilliant and positively enormous - I will happily queue for a while just to get one of these, but sadly I can't say the same about the coffee.

Was about to take the first bite and out crawled a baby cockroach. Went back in to complain and the woman suggested in only crawled out of the napkin not the burger, either it's a cockroach near my food!!!!! It definitely crawled out if the burger!! Well if you live past or near Preston then this is where you had to satisfy your urgent late night kebab cravings. You know the type of place I'm talking about. A dodgy looking van or shed parked on some form of concrete (usually an old service station) that is never open during daylight hours! Haci's is deceptive though, yes it looks dodgy, but the van is the cleanest of it's kind around. It is at least as clean, or possibly more so, then the large 24 Hour McDonald's across the road. Even in the early hours of the mornings a clean take out joint matters! The kebab's you get here would hold up to daylight scrutiny. They are large, fresh and full of flavour. Grab one of the three plastic tables and eat in. A great place to watch random messy drunks in action..just make sure your not the one everybody is watching!
