I can never get enough of their desert. Even they have new selection of flavors, I always go back to the classic. Sweetness level was perfect. I can repurpose their glass jar at home also. They have plenty of parking spots, if it's full there is underground parking at the back. Few indoor tables are available to enjoy but they don't allow durian to be eaten in store.

I have a newfound love for coconut jelly pudding. This place has so many different flavors and they come in such a perfect size. There's a durian flavored one that is take-out only (because of the controversial aroma lol). I need the dairy free one and the only two are the pistachio rose and osmanthus-oolong which were the ones I wanted anyway! Both are delicious! I think my favorite is the osmanthus one. The texture depends-- the coconut pudding is like soft tofu, and the other flavor is almost jello. These are the perfect light desserts to have after dinner that aren't too sweet or starchy. They need to be kept cool/refrigerated or consumed soon. I did keep mine in the fridge and didn't eat it for yet for 2 days and it was still perfect and fresh. This place is located in a plaza with many businesses including several Asian food restaurants. There's a parking lot and underground parking area so it isn't too hard to find a spot. There's store's interior is bright and well lit. Not too big though so it can't accommodate too many people. We just ordered to go. Staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining everything.

12/17/25 Wednesday Came after a late dinner just before 10 PM. We were the only customers, which makes sense since it's a weekday night. Got the Durian Coconut, which is takeout only. It came with a reusable jar, utensils, napkin, and a reusable insulated bag. Expensive, but you pay for the extra stuff and durian isn't cheap either. Taste was 10/10. Soooo creamy! The staff packed our things quickly and we were on our way out as quickly as we stopped by. Parking lot is shared among many shops since they're in a plaza but at this time, we didn't have trouble parking.

Super cute location located in San Gabriel. There's plenty of parking in the back and the store Is clean with friendly employees. These desserts are all coconut based jelly desserts. We came to this location specifically for the Seventeen (Kpop band) dessert). It's on the pricey side, but worth a try at least once. You'll either love it or hate it based on the taste.

Always good to eat desserts from MeloMelo. It's holiday season and they are having new different flavors of jelly desserts. Their coconut desserts have smooth silky texture with rich coconut flavors. Signature coconut jelly is my favorite for its creamy consistency and delicious combination of coconut juice and milk. It's always refreshing and satisfying and comforting for me. I have tried mango flavor as well as durian and they use good fruit products. And I love their eco-friendly glass jars containers. This place gives me modern vibes and friendly staff provided good service as well. See you soon MeloMelo!

A unique dessert shop in the SGV, my amazing wife took me here on the weekend & at first I was a bit sketched out but once I tasted the desserts, it's for sure one of my favorite type of desserts to get. They have plentiful of menu options to choose from which is difficult for me to decide, but we ended up trying their signature mango coconut. The mango is very much natural, I didn't think it would blend well with the coconut jelly but it was a smooth taste. This is for sure a healthier type of dessert as it's not too sweet either. Perfect all around. Texture is for sure a standout & perfect for pictures. Love the design of the cups, bags, and packaging too. Also found out that they have a recycling program where you can return 10 jars and receive a dessert jar.

I was impressed by the texture of their coconut desserts! It was more firm than Chinese steamed double milk 双皮奶 but more liquid-y compared to actual pudding/custard. As a result it still had some chew to it but also very smooth! I liked how the coconut flavors were present, but not subtle nor overpowering. I enjoyed how it wasnt too sweet! For the taro and ube one, the taro pieces and paste were pretty flavorful. The ube chunks were on the other side; flavors were more mild in comparison nevertheless. I think this combination is classic and worked in this format as well. The jars are cute and reusable! They have a recycling project as well - I think you get a free something if you return 10 jars. It's packaged well with cute insulated bags. Staff was friendly. Lots of different flavors for you to pick from. No seating at this location. Lots of parking.

Melo Melo is one of my favorite desserts to get when I'm in Los Angeles. The first time we came, I tried the mango and taro ube coconut and fell in love. So I knew I had to come back when I'm in the LA area. This time around we went to the San Gabriel location. We chose the triple matcha, sesame walnut, and mango river coconut. All of the flavors we tried are delicious! The coconut is soft, smooth, silky, and refreshing. Highly recommend checking them out for a tasty dessert. If you come with friends you can get multiple flavors to try. I do think the prices are a bit expensive as each jar ranges from 9.99-12.99. It's also because you're paying for the glass jar which I kept at home from the first time. (If you do keep the jars, for cleaning purposes, I recommend to make sure water doesn't sit on the lid as it will rust.) Comparing the old jars and new jars, they added their brand label to the bottom of the jar and potentially the newer jars are shorter by like 2 mm. The single select coconut is a smaller size which I was excited to add to my jar collection. They do have a jar recycling program which is nice. Service was good as when I asked them questions, they knew there stuff and where each of the flavors were located in the display case. Looking forward to coming back to try their other flavors like avocado and durian.

Good dessert place- delicious, not everly sweet, and flavorful. Good friendly service. A bit pricey tho. Parking is a bit hard to find as the plaza is compact.

Closed at 9:54PM on a Friday when online it says 11PM. I drive 20 minutes to get here. I even checked their Instagram and no notice of closing early. This is not cool

This is the best dessert place in town with the speciality of serving coconut based dessert. My go to is always the coconut original but there's a large variety of fruits. The staff is really friendly. The interior is nice and clean with a marble finish.

This place is a coconut dessert dream. Every time I visit, I'm blown away by how fresh, light, and satisfying everything tastes. The texture of their coconut pudding is perfectly silky--not too sweet, just enough to hit the spot. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and really care about the consistency and presentation. I've tried a bunch of their flavors--original, mango, matcha, and strawberry--and honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. The mango is probably my favorite (so refreshing!), but the matcha is a close second. I also love that they serve everything in reusable glass jars--super cute and eco-friendly.

Update! They now have a loyalty program! They also have a new bag for 2 or more jars, theyre insulated and reusable. They also have a yelp or Google review redemption discount. It is also card/Tap pay only. The service was fast and simple. Very kind and attentive. Again, parking is tough to find, but we were already dining in elsewhere on the property so we were able to go in and grab a dessert.

    Any dairy-free options?

They recently added the flavors Caffe OAT and Osmanthus oolong OAT. Both vegan and dairy-free!

How long does their original and matcha last for before going bad? 3 days, 5 days?

Is the coconut jelly vegan? which items on your menu are vegan? (contains no egg, dairy, milk, butter or any other animal products)

The jelly itself might be but most or all of the menu is not vegan

Is there a promotion with bringing a certain amount of empty jars back that you will get something free?

If you bring back 10 jars you get one single free

    Do they recycle their jars?

I know the location in LA does. You can leave the jar with them and they reuse them. I'm thinking maybe San Gabriel might too?

Anyone know how many Oz of the original?

    About 10 ounces

    Do they take cash?

    Right now it's card only!

Anyone know what is the size that they have?

    It's about 10 oz

Do these have added sugar? The ingredient list doesn't specify, but tastes sweet

I'm not sure, but believe they do since it tastes much sweeter than regular coconut.

    Is this vegan friendly?

Dunno if they've changed their recipe (doubt it), but when I went I asked if they used dairy (I'm lactose intolerant, not vegan) and they said yes. So no, it's not vegan friendly.

As it was, the bowl was still not full even as I added random toppings to make it fuller. You can tell that it's basically a toppings bowl rather than an açaí bowl at this point. It would have been like that sad sad photo from Sebastian H month ago. Never again. I'm going to Açaí Joint next time, which actually has bowls that doesn't skimp on the açaí (and does have unlimited toppings as well).

They use fresh sugarcane instead of frozen, and if you've had enough sugarcane juice, you can absolutely taste it. The flavor here is richer, earthier, and more complex than places like Vita Cane. Even the color is different. It's a little murkier and less transparent, which was my first clue that this was going to taste different. My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and were surprised to find no line. Ordering is done through a tablet kiosk at the front, and as soon as we finished placing our order, the woman working immediately started making everything fresh. We ordered the Sugar Cane Float to enjoy there and a half gallon of sugarcane juice to bring home. The float was unexpectedly good! Better than anticipated. We chose vanilla ice cream (they also had coconut, coffee, and another flavor I can't remember), and the two scoops melted into the sugarcane juice, giving it a creamy, almost milkshake-like texture while still tasting refreshing. I've never seen this offered at Vita Cane before, and now I'm already planning to come back to try the coconut version. The shop itself is very clean, with bench seating by the front windows if you'd like to wait for your order or enjoy your drink there. The woman working was also incredibly kind. When our half gallon was ready, she recommended portioning it out and freezing anything we wouldn't drink within three days so it would stay fresh. Good advice... except we ended up finishing the entire thing in two days! If you're a sugarcane juice fan and think all sugarcane juice tastes the same, Fresh Cane might change your mind. The difference between fresh and frozen cane is surprisingly noticeable, and this has easily become one of my favorite spots in SGV for a refreshing drink.
