Don't go here perfectly nice one down the street. They appear nice but are low key rude. Dude chipped my nail goes to fix it it's not perfect but dares to ask me if it's good? I say no he says oh that no ones going to see it! I am sir! He tried to mansplain me more than once. I have to pay to look at that chip you created in the last minute of my service that was over 90 min service for dip? Don't go to this place for design. One man began my service another man came in to finish and for design. The other guy hovered over him watching and eventually he told the guy to get him and let him finish. This was after a weird exchange. One of my nails texture was clearly messed up from all the attempts to create a design. but the man didn't fix it until I pointed it out adding more time to the service. very awkward vibe and energy during the whole service. I am paying to like and look at my nails not leave there wondering why them ask me if they are good? You're the professional. My nails look great 2 stars but that's after time of accommodating and changing my inspiration since they couldn't grasp the steps of a ombré katseye. read more

I have just witnessed the owner being angry with one of his staff and then things falling and banging around. When I approached the owner after my nails had been done e I very politely said, the incident made me and other customers feel very uncomfortable, he responded "I am sorry about that but that is my business and I am busy now so it is fine goodbye." I've been visiting to Melrose Nail a Bar for about 3-4 months now, and I must say that it's a lovely nail salon. The ambiance is beautiful and pleasant. It's truly a relaxing atmosphere and, Stephen (the owner) is simply incredible and makes you feel welcomed in the most authentic way. He cares for his customers and those that work on his team. Everyone is good, and represents a spirit of excellence, but I'm beyond satisfied with the service I received from Tom (nail technician). What I appreciate is the time that was taken to manicure my nails, and then shape them before painting them. Tom did an awesome job on and nails and listened attentively to what I wanted and how I wanted my real nails to look like . Well, I'm not sure if it was the people that I got or what! But I was there for almost 3 hours just to leave unhappy with my nails and toes. I told the nail lady multiple times that I like natural short nail sets. When she started applying the acrylic, I told her that it was too thick! I don't like short fat thick nails. I asked her to file them down because they were too thick. She barely filed them and continued on! The polish job was also not clean and even! It was also thick and a lot of polish! End of the service, she gave me exactly what I said I didn't want. My toes, the manager came over and had her redo them! It looked like my 3 years old daughter painted them! SMH! Melrose Nail Bar sets an incredibly high bar. After getting my nails done here because my usual spot was booked up - this is where I will be coming to get my nails done from now on! The entire staff is incredibly attentive and works as a team to check you in, help you pick your polish, and stock the chair where you are receiving your services. Some nail salons make you feel very rushed or like they are rushing through your service but everyone at Melrose Nail Bar is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I got a French dip manicure with tips and a regular pedicure and it was $108 before tip. Even better - I was in and out in less than an hour on a Sunday afternoon! Bonus: you get a complimentary, premium cocktail during your service. I can't recommend this nail salon highly enough. After one visit, you'll never want to go anywhere else :) read more

I had never had a facial before and wanted to treat myself to some self-care by getting there signature spa facial. this was said to last 1hour and 15 minutes and priced at $90, per there website. During the session, the esthetician was completely distracted. She would leave the room for several minutes... so long that the machine (which was only used on half of my face) would cut off... and she would have to rewarm/restart the machine after she returned. During the time she was in the room, she would be on her phone the ENTIRE TIME. She literally had the phone placed right by my head and only used ONE HAND give give me a facial so she could scroll Facebook. She rubbed the same place on my forehead so long I had to tell her it was beginning to hurt. She just kept telling me to relax, but how can I when I'm not even getting your full attention?! aren't I paying you for a service?? When an hour had pasted, I guess she got tired and told me the session was over. I met her downstairs where I proceeded to pay $100 plus leaving a cash tip... I left feeling worse than when I went in. sure, my skin was soft, but her lack of care and detached persona left me feeling neglected and unseen. very impersonal. HIGHLY unprofessional. Ive been to a ton of different salons in Uptown. This one is my favorite ! Clean cuticles - my dip powdered nails never crack or break- brand new comfy massage pedi chairs! The staff is so nice and helpful! Stephen runs everything so smoothly. Dutch is phenomenal at his art. Also - this is NOT the same operation that was at this location years ago. They used to be Nail Lua by Eatzis. They have taken over this location and made it look AMAZING!!!! Love them! read more

Small shop, but don't let it fool you. They're big on quality :) Been around for years, Johnny did my nails one time and I was in love. I've had him do both stiletto and coffin shape and both were perfect. He is really meticulous and takes pride in his work! So I'm a very adventurous nail person. I enjoy looking on Pinterest and choosing different colors and styles each month. And Judy always makes it a reality! I can't say enough great things about her. She is really the best manicurist in Dallas, and I've tried a lot of people already. She's also friendly and manages to squeeze me in to her schedule when I call last minute. I actually followed her from her previous salon to Melrose Day Spa. As far as the service at Melrose, as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted and offered drinks by two people. All their other clients seemed comfortable and taken care It's an easy location to access off of Oak Lawn. There is a parking lot on the side of the building. Let me start by saying - I've never written a nasty yelp review ever. But this one is in the best interest of Dallas residents. If I wanted my nails to look like I painted them myself, I wouldn't have paid $50 + tip. Not only did the girl cut me and continue working like normal but the only cleanup she did was taking the polish off from UNDER MY FINGER. I gave up trying to explain the shape I wanted (which was just narrower on the top...not that hard) and don't know which part of "can we please file them down" she didn't understand. I'm literally going to Grand Nail Salon later today to get this off and redone. I don't care that I'll have to pay again. I wanted to try some place new but was reminded how awesome Grand Nail Salon is and how well those employees do their job. read more

Come here for subpar service, long waits, and rude staff! There are so many nail salons in Dallas... I'm not sure why someone would come here. I bumped a nail by accident and my nail tech sighed and rolled his eyes because he had to put on another top coat. I even told him I'd just do it at home he made me feel so bad. The nails are okay but they left a ton of stuff all over my fingers from the dip (see pictures). I had to wait 20 min to be seen even though when I asked they said they weren't busy. I didn't know this until I was stuck in the chair and the guy had already started my manicure otherwise i would have left. - the paint job it's self is lacking.
