It also had a slightly different taste! More creamy and just really enjoyable. I also had a scoop of Oreo ice cream which was so yummy! Couldn't get enough and couldn't choose which was better of the 2. My husband got vanilla, basic but I mean best he's ever had. I really liked it too and I'm usually not a vanilla person. Ice cream was delicious! The salted PB Oreo had the right amount of salt, if you're going to advertise a salted ice cream flavor I want to taste a bit of salt and this was spot on. The seasonal vegan pumpkin Oreo and honey cornbread was also wonderful. High quality ice cream, good portions, would definitely return. Line was pretty long on a Friday but the staff was efficient. So we go in, I asked to get a scoop with hot fudge... the girl behind the counter tells me they don't have any hot fudge right now but they do have "cold fudge" so I was like uhhh ok, thinking maybe it was fudge that hadn't been heated up. I get the scoop and it's covered in chocolate syrup.... That's not the same as fudge, at all. The ice cream was more icy than creamy. It had a funny texture to it. The waffle cone tasted kind of soft and stale, but possible undercooked. My mom got a scoop of maple bourbon and a scoop of nutty almond. She felt the same about the iciness. We also felt like the flavors were really artificial and definitely not worth the high cost. Our orders were $8 each which is steep for ice cream that's not very good! I recommend going to a different place if you're looking for good ice cream! read more

This place is a small cozy shop that can become quite crowded at times, just because of the amount of varieties they offer. I will note that they were EXTREMELY busy since I was in Salem at the end of October, during the height of Halloween mania. So be patient if you're crazy to visit like I did. They had so many options that I opted to go with the rotating apple pie with caramel and I think I had some sort of crumble. It was phenomenal! For the price you do get a lot of product considering, I didn't even get to finish mine since there was so much. I loved this place because of the staff enthusiasm even during such a busy time. The only issue was that the little brownie was quite dry and hard. I couldn't break it up with my spoon, and no knives are available. The only solution was to actually just bite the brownie, which did have a soft interior once you got through the substantial crispy crunch (not exactly what I was looking for from a brownie experience). There was no microwave or method to heat up my brownie beforehand. In general this is a nice spot. I had a good time. I don't even have words for how delicious my ice cream was. I was visiting Salem and made it a point to go to Melt to try their caramel sea salt brownie ice cream on a gf cone. It was the most scrumptious ice cream I've had in ages. I parked my caboose next to the Bewitched statue in town and enjoyed my cone, not even upset as the summer heat caused droplets to run down my hands. I brought my partner to Melt the next day so he could try their heavenly goodness.
