Business: Hickory Hill Roofing and Construction LLC…read moreLocation: Middlebrook, Missouri Owners: Kristopher Watson and Vianca Watson I hired Hickory Hill Roofing and Construction LLC, owned by Kristopher Watson, to remove and replace my deck. The project was completed on December 19, 2024, and I paid in full on that date. Prior to hiring the company, Kristopher Watson stated in writing that they stand by their work for the life of the product and that a written warranty would be provided. Despite repeated requests, I have never received the promised written warranty. When I asked about a warranty, Kris stated the following in writing: "Our warranty covers all that we do for the life of the product. Basically, if you have any issue we will take care of it. The written warranty will be more specific, but we don't transfer. Meaning if you sell the house the warranty isn't with the new owner--it's only for you." After completion, numerous workmanship and safety issues became apparent, including: Multiple vertical railing/support posts splitting along their length Poorly or barely attached base railing support rails Warped fascia boards and all three sides, which gradually worsened as temperatures increased, indicating that material expansion was not properly considered during winter installation An old rotted support beam left in place at the stairs Security camera wiring improperly handled, with connectors trapped under the fascia board, leaving the camera nonfunctional These issues appeared shortly after installation and are not normal wear. I made repeated attempts to contact Kristopher Watson and Vianca Watson to obtain documentation and request repairs, including messages sent on January 8, 2025; January 20, 2025; March 2, 2025; March 13, 2025; April 20, 2025; and September 13, 2025. Aside from one brief response in March 2025 promising follow-up, the business has failed to respond or take corrective action. This is not a reputable company. Buyer Beware!

Jason inspected my house. Failed to notice a water heater leak that had to have gone on for a long…read moretime due to the amount of mold that was found through out the house later on. Mind you, a very large amount of mold, that Jason did not find at all. I spoke with an attorney about all this, and after they reviewed the agreement they stated Big Rivers liability pretty much states,"we will look at the property for you, and tell you what we see without looking too hard, but you cannot rely on our inspection to tell you anything about the condition of the property." Excellent business practice. Id rather pay Helen Keller $1,000 to do my next inspection then give Big River another dime. It appeared that after close and move in, very little attention to detail was utilized in conducting the inspection. Negligence and ignorance has now cost me over $10,000 in repairs.

This has been since early February. I called again today and again was told someone would have to get back with me. I think this speaks volumes about the character and integrity of the company.
