They all gave me the same exact treatment regimens and then when I failed the answer was always the same "Just try to learn to live with your migraines". A nurse friend of mine raved about Dr.Loftus. At this point I was about seven years into chronic daily migraine. My life revolved around them. I didn't drive because I was scared I would have a migraine attack and not be able to see. If I did go out I had to make sure I had medication with me just in case. I knew to be in bed at a certain time before the migraines would hit. When I got to Dr.Loftus I was hopeful at the fact he didn't seem phased by the previous medications not working or anything the previous doctors had said. He is always on top of his research and knows everything about the newest migraine options. He always had a plan regarding medications and never gave up on me or never referred me elsewhere. He also would always find ways for me to save on super expensive migraine meds. Once he even walked over to the pharmacy with me and got them to honor a coupon code! It took a long time but I finally got to a place where I never thought I would be. I figured at best maybe I could have a migraine four days a week that wasn't excruciatingly painful. Thanks to Dr. Loftus's persistence and care I got much better than that. Currently I have a headache maybe once or twice a week and it's bearable. I can drive without worrying and it's really nice to not have to carry migraine meds with me anymore. I am grateful to have Dr. Loftus's care and I would happily recommend him to any fellow migraine sufferer.

I suffered a grand mal seizure this morning for the first time in my life, and my face is bruised and swollen and battered. My roommate found me seizing on the floor with blood pouring out of my mouth. I called the office to schedule an appt this week, obviously it was an emergency, and Dr. Loftus is the only one who knows my medical history. It had been over a year and a half, and the doctor said he would not see me because I did not see him regularly. This shows a lack of care for patients, and I am disappointed and distressed when really all I needed was help from my doctor.

When I first went to her, I could barely leave the house, and had a very limited quality of life. With great patience, she was able to try various medications until we found the right mix that would fit my needs. I had had bad experiences with other doctors and she listened intently. Not only did she listen, but she asked questions and noted information that had not been asked before. These days, I am a new person. I still have a chronic condition, but am able to live a mostly full life with a positive attitude and a great deal of gratitude. Her staff have a lot to do with my love of this practice too. From the front desk to her nurse, to the staff in the infusion center. They know my name, give me a warm welcome every single time and have a wonderful attitude. I've never had to wait past my appointment. Dr. Khorsandi always does a beautiful job making sure I look my best (youngest). I've never had any problems. I am suing certain VA doctors, in a presently ongoing lawsuit in Federal Court, for their…read moreSELF-SERVING failure to provide GOOD FAITH medical care, to me as a veteran, and where, in order to try and build a defense against that subject lawsuit, the VA then assigned me to be treated by Dr, Lovitt at the Neurology Center, in Houston. At my first medical consult, with Lovitt, which I was forced to attend, in a VA prescribed WHEEL-CHAIR, because I was in too much pain to walk, he raised my suspician that he considers himself to be some sort of actor, when he put on what I believe to be his STANDARD SHOW for new patients, which must be seen to be fully appreciated, and which included his HIGHLY THEATRICAL arm waiving and body movements, and which led me to initially believe that he was possibly ALL SHOW, AND NO GO, as a medical doctor. And where the basis for that subject suspicial was then subsequently confirmed (a) whenhe stalled the beginning of his treatment of me, so that he could milk the VA for as much money as possible, by giving me a two minute physical examination that then entitled him to start the clock on payment for treating me, and then telling me that he could not begin actively treating my condition, until he received more information from the VA, which was CLEARLY FRAUDULENT in that the VA would have provided him with ALL information that was necessary to my treatment, when they assigned me to him; and, (b) when he told me that would not prescrime ANY pain medicine, for me, stronger than common over the counter aspirin, after I had REPEATEDLY told him, during two scheduled medical consults (where I received no treatment), that I was SUFFERING FROM INTENSE PAIN, in my feet. and where he responded by telling me that I would have to go to a doctor, who specialized in pain management, to get anything stronger than the aspirin that he was offering. And where, after a couple of visits to Lovit's clinic, where he continued to act in BAD FAITH by delaying his treatment of my EXTREEMLY PAINFUL NEUROPATHY, with his ABSURD excuse that he was still waiting for more information from the VA, I decided to read the medical consult notes that he was providing to the VA, in order to get paid (and where I had access to those subject "notes", at the VA), and I therein noticed that he had LIED, when he therein KNOWINGLY, and FALSELY, stated that I had told him that I was NOT SUFFERING FROM ANY PAIN, which was ILLICITLY INTENDED (on information and belief) to AID, and Abet, Dr. Lovitt's then subject GOVERNMENTAL CRIMINAL CO-CONSPIRATOR VA NEUROGY doctors' position that my above referred to, then ongoing lawsuit, against them, was FRIVOLOUS. Dr. Pierce came right in and had some helpful ideas and plans to deal with my medical issue after reviewing what I had previously attempted. She was my second opinion and I ended up using her treatment that matched the opinion of my other neurologist helping me on this medical problem. It helped me for a little while but it looks like long term treatment is going to be my situation. If I ever need another second opinion or my neurologist can no longer help me I will definitely be checking back with Dr. Pierce and Mind Neurology Clinic.
