They make a great team. Dr. Mike reminds me of his dad that was my only dentist growing up. He was the only one that my parents took us to. Dr. Mike is as good at joking around as his dad was. Every staff member from the front desk receptionist to the aides to the nurses to the anesthesiologist were THE best. My first time here and they really left the best mark on my heart. I'm very tattooed on my arms and they were complimenting me on them, particularly the portrait of my little sister. She lost her battle with alcohol 2 years ago and I briefly shared her story. I thought for sure there would be odd looks and an awkwardness but there was not. These wonderful women gave their condolences, asked how I am doing and if I needed anything, with one even hugging me. Another shared her own stories of family members and a sibling losing their battles with addiction. All of these things are what make amazing humans and I'm so glad I got to meet them all. Their words were just what I needed today not having my sister at my side for this surgery. I just wanted everyone to know how much this meant to me and was another step in my healing journey. I went in for sinus surgery with big worries. I left with more joy in my heart that such caring women are still out there. I was interested in Dr. Hudnall first because he was from Grand Island and after his schooling he came back "home". I also liked that he went to Disneys Customer Service training. I maybe was a bit jealous of that Disney training as that was something I dreamed about doing and didn't. I was not disappointed with the service. I called in a panic, scared to death of what was going on with my eyes. They got me an appointment the next day. Later that morning, the gal called me back and said Dr. Hudnall had a cancelation and would I like to come in that day. She was very nice and I felt that she sensed I was quite upset. So I truly appreciated the calk back. When I arrived that day, the gals were so polite and caring. That is very important to me. Dr. Hudnall was great too! He could sense that I was scared and he just assured me that we would get to the bottom of this and help me. After the testing was done, he just said that I need to have another doctor look at me and get a second opinion. That also made me feel good to know that he wanted to make sure that he wasn't missing something that Dr Gleason could actually see. I do appreciate him doing that. After seeing Dr. Gleason, I will go back for re-testing and get blood test results, I will be going back to Dr. Hudnall's Office and he is now my permanent eye doctor. I just want to be treated like I "matter" and I certainly get that feeling from the Eye Care Center. Check them out for yourself. It is what it says it is!
