We stopped by this park briefly to view the Times Magazine statue from World War II. This park is gorgeous and well-kept for the WWII, Korean, and Vietnam military memorial. It's a peaceful area to walk around, and has a nice overlooking view.

Beautiful place. Great place to walk. This statue is traveling around the country. Lot of other memorials to see.

Memorial Park is one of the best parks in Omaha! Whether you want to go on a run, have a picnic, hammock in the trees, visit the rose garden, or have a game of ultimate frisbee, there is enough space for everyone to do as they please. The Christmas lights that they currently have up are also beautiful to visit and enjoy in the evenings. I've never had an issue with parking, even on their busiest summer days. Their beautiful monuments honor those who lost their lives in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Definitely worth a stop if you're looking to get outside!

Nice decent-sized park, well maintained and has a very meaningful/powerful statue that acts as the center of the park. There are various stone plaques around the park that all tell their own story and symbolize honor in their own unique way.

I've been here in the past for summer sponsored concerts and ultimate frisbee tournaments in college, but since then, haven't visited often. Beside a playground and a few cool artsy landscaped flower beds scattered throughout, Memorial Park is GRASS. Acres of grass it seems, stretching endlessly in all directions with trees, slopes and hills. This means you could have a picnic (along with a lot of small flying gnat like bugs in the grass), practice sports, do running drill work outs, or play with your dog. Nothing else comes to mind, since this place doesn't seem to have a bathroom (read: dont stay too long), water fountains, or built shelter from the sun other than the sturdy and large mature trees. Again, expect bugs in all warm seasons! I wear long pants and covered shoes, even in the summer time. I think its a great park for a short romp, but not for too long. My dog loves running on the endless lawn leash free, since it's so far from a street that I feel safe letting him free! I always bring him water and some for myself too-dont forget that in the hot summer months!

Standing Bear Lake a great lake, we should pay closer attention to and keep it nice …read more There has to be something done about the people that are coming to this Park that are bringing pit bull, German shepherd, large dog breeds with no leash control, running around and small dogs. We are trying to enjoy a walk and get bothered by a dog not on a leash, come on people NO leashes on them Running loose with the owners at the park with them not paying attention to the laws of Omaha State parks. Your dog needs to be leashed not let loose running around I never seen a Nebraska Humane Society truck patrolling the park for dogs without leashes or police vehicles or Park ranger vehicles this park is going to go down quick if it is not maintained with some type of supervision there are people drinking alcohol and breaking bottles in the park, and in the park on the grass With their cars and pick up trucks destroying the landscape. Something has to be done, When will someone step in like maybe the mayor of Omaha and get this taken care of or is this another part of Omaha that they just don't care about? Someone step up and save our park from the hoodlums racing up and down the road, crashing into trees and one other thing that really bothers me is the exit leaving the park in between the hills the cars fly by there and there is going to be a accident at the intersection leaving the Park on 132nd. People fly up and down that street and the people coming out of the park are not aware of how fast the traffic is really traveling and there is going to be a bad accident. Mayor of Omaha, please fix these problems. Signed very concerned citizen of Omaha.

Iv always enjoyed fishing there and hiking. I've always had a nice time there . Always take tick…read morespray with you, these ticks are really thick this year last time I went I picked up three of them. But otherwise a very enjoyable experience.
