Buy a power washer, use it for less than an hour and it breaks. Drive all the way back to Casper and they say its "not our policy to take it back if it has had gas"--so when it breaks they won't take it back but if you don't use it it obviously won't break! This is a BS policy and they were not even a bit apologetic that they had no good recourse for their product or their crappy policy. Lesson learned, we won't be going back! read more

I ordered $1300 worth of fans online. They offered a rebate amounting to $145. When I got it, it was only good in-store. I live over 1000 miles from the nearest store. I contacted them and explained it to them. I asked if I could have online store credit. They denied me with a sarcastic explanation. I would not recommend Menards. read more

The employees at Menard's are rude and undereducated about their job. Most are unwilling to accommodate a simple item return that was broken through shipment. They seemed unaware that Menard's has a website for selling items as well as in store purchases. I was treated with mistrust and irritation, almost as it I were a shoplifter wondering into the store to scam them somehow. I had all documentation for returning the broken item and was met with skepticism at every step. I was even told to take my broken item to USPS without any proof of insurance Menard's had for shipping this item to me. In other words, they did not want to honer their company's satisfaction guarantee. I am very disappointed in Menard's and will remember this experience the next time I buy something at a home improvement store. I will very likely go elsewhere.... read more

I am severely disappointed in Menards. We have spent over a thousand dollars in the past couple days trying to remodel our house and in those few days not one person wanted to do there job! We asked for help to pick up some heavier items and it was like pulling teeth! The worker was so irritated that he had to do his job! Every single worker has a attitude that sucks and they are so rude this is 5 workers I've ran into so far! Do not buy any building packages from this store!!! I wish negative stars was an option. They will be all sunshine and roses until it is paid for. After they get your money it all goes to heck! They will short you supplies and then argue with you and your contractor. They will tell you that they don't have a record of your order and suddenly no one will know anything. They will forget to deliver your trusses among other items and even after you speak to a manager, when you go to get the missing materials, they are suddenly gone and they want you to pay for them again! My husband and nephew went to Menards and purchased an outdoor fireplace kit weighing around 5 tons. My husband wears a knee brace due to a past surgery. While Menards offers delivery we were told they were several days out. So my husband asked that there be at least 3 pallets so our trailer could handle the load and he would take 3 trips. Upon pickup, it was one pallet...my husband explained he had asked for 3. The manager of that Dept rudely, told my husband he would have to repack them .....which he and the nephew did....with no safety gear, on Menards property....5 tons!! Ridiculous- expensive purchase, rude service and potential harm to my husband's knee. read more

Well they hve a good assortment of items but they kind of remind me more of a wal-mart than a home improment store in 2 ways. One is that they many many things including clothing and groceries..but they do not hav a lot of anything including appliances) and they cannot beat quality and prices found elsewhere. If we could give less than one star, we would. We drove over 120 miles one way to shop at this store. We were mainly looking for paint. After settling on the kind we wanted, we decided to check out, only for the price of the paint to be 10 dollars a gallon over what the signage said. We asked the checker about the price discrepancy. The checker got really defensive. The staffer called in to help was defensive. We walked all the way back to the paint stand to ask about the price. The staffer there was belligerent and rude and told us that the actual price depended on the gloss (a fact that was not made clear in any way before checkout). We would have bought the paint if it wasn't for their hostile reaction. When we got back to the checkout counter, our entire order and the staffers were gone. We will never shop at Menard's again. We ended up getting the paint at Home Depot for a third of the price. read more

forget this place if you need a real lumberyard. you have to park, go in to far right corner of store and place order and pay. then drive all the way out back and wait for someone to "bring you the wood". I asked for 4 x 8 sheets of 1/2" plywood. was quoted a price and paid. after more than 45 minutes a worker in the lumberyard brings me 2 4x8 sheets of particle board. After discussing with store manager he offered no help, would not exchange and suggested I return and start over. worst customer service and attitude "the store is right" not the customer. poorer customer service than the already lacking big box lumberyard down the road. how sad is that, I did not think customer service could be worse. but it is, store manager needs a lesson on the difference between plywood and particle board. it is a lumberyard after all. or is it ? not only will I not be back I will tell everyone I can about this experience, I am in retail and we are a relatively small town., your store manager is a poor excuse and should be sent to customer service 101 class (or a decent college) It was the "actual" store GM. sorry but the truth does hurt...... read more
