This was very disappointing. I went in today for their free 5 oz froyo for the new descendants release. The poster and app said it starts at 3 pm. I got there early and waited, then walked in at 2:58 thinking I might have to wait two minutes. No, all the promotional cups were gone, and when I asked a worker how that happened, because I walked in at 2:58, before 3 when the promotion was supposed to be happening. He told me, "Well, this goes by really fast," while I said, "It's not even three; it's just turned three. All these people got cups before three." This makes absolutely no sense; if something says it starts at a certain time, you should honor that, and so many other customers were pissed because they came for the time that was posted and had to leave disappointed. read more

They have some fun unusual flavors here. I went yesterday and got banana pudding and cookies and cream, with some added chocolate chips and of course Nilla wafers. Delicious. I wish they had smaller containers available. I'm sure this is by design, so you end up filling it up and buying more yogurt which is priced by the ounce, but I feel like it melts faster when you have just a little in the bottom of a huge container. I would rather a smaller cup where it's not so spread out and stays frozen long enough to eat it. Regardless I would definitely go back; the selection is good and the prices reasonable. read more

Quite possibly my favorite Fro-Yo place in the HEB area. I especially love the seasonal changes in flavors and the yogurt mascot is so cute. Love their variety of toppings too. What's the possibility of branching out to even more ethnic flavors like Thai tea? Vietnamese coffee? Masala Chai? Horchata? Matcha Green Tea? Italian Espresso? The yogurt is of course good and they have a reasonable selection of flavors and toppings, also have a great assortment of games to play with ample amount of seating. What gets me is the nickel and dime of making you put a spoon or lid on your froyo before weighing it. Forgot we were going to need a lid and asked for it after weighing and was told we needed to reweigh with the lid on... The next time, we were asked if we needed spoons and he put the spoons in our froyo himself on the scale. To be honest, you just can't go wrong with this menchies. They get 4 stars because they often close 10-15mins early sometimes and it's usually in days when I'm really craving froyo and have made a 30min drive specifically to this menchies which has been frustrating at times.Other than that, I'd definitely try them...just arrive at least 30mins before they close. read more

I think over the past two years, we've seen many yogurt shops open all over the metroplex and at one point they all remind you of each other. Most have more condiments than yogurt or they have more yogurt than condiments, they all are the same at some point. However, Menchie's beats them all. They don't have a HUGE selection, but what they do have, are the best selections. They have their signature flavors and you'll generally see those at every visit, but they're great at rotating their flavors. They're not afraid of new flavors and that's what keeps me going back, they're continuously updating their flavors. They're very affordable, have a point system with rewards, and the staff is very friendly! read more

Absolutely do NOT recommend. My husband and I visited for the first time since the pandemic and it's honestly a such RIP-OFF! First off they FORCE you to use their chemical polluted hand sanitizer before going in, which last time I checked isn't mandatory anywhere else. Then they started separating all of their toppings into individual containers with a preset amount in each one. Basically you can't control the quantity on the toppings you want which means you're being ROBBED now and last but not least the containers themselves are added onto your bill so you basically paid for them to rob you. read more

I love froyo so I had menchie's like twice this week... This place is usually busy, even before they close!! I came here the same week so they had the same flavors both times, but usually all the flavors are pretty creative. I got the pineapple dole whip, i LOVE this because I love pineapple. Joanna and Sher both got (separate times) cake batter and cheese cake respectively. I usually load mine up with toppings that match the flavor so pineapple calls for the popping boba and gummy bears because it's fruity and the other one is creamy so vanilla wafers and chocolate or peanut butter bits! This place actually has a lot of topping choices for froyo, even mochi, fresh fruit, and a bunch of crushed candy and sour candy, so it gets really fun! It's about $5 for each froyo run which is expected! I probably couldn't finish a whole bowl without sharing it, so I would recommend be conservative about the serving size! read more

This place is all about the smiles. When I walked up there was a connect four game outside for kids to play. Inside everything is very clean and organized. There were 12 normal flavors and 6 swirls. What really wowed me was all of the toppings. There was 51 of them. Everything was very nice and easy on the eye. Do yogurt cost $.62 per ounce. We bought 3 cups and turned out to be around $11. So I love frozen yogurt and this place is the closest from my home. The place isn't bad or anything. It's clean and good variety. The only thing that I don't like is that I usually go around 9 or a little later. They close at 10pm . What I don't like is that the employees start cleaning and putting chairs up around 9:15pm. If you're not sitting down they'll remove the chairs and tables so no one would sit there. I know they're trying to go home but time closing time says 10pm I should be able to go in at 9:30pm and sit comfortably with my spouse and kids till 10pm without feeling pressured to leave because they're cleaning. I was very impressed with all the toppings this place had, more so than probably any other froyo place I've visited. Also, it's a great location because there are so many lunch/dinner places nearby, so you could just hop over there for dessert. Just some of the available toppings: - At least 4 different kinds of sauces including hot fudge (yay!), marshmallow topping (was a little dubious at first but it was a great choice) - Exploding strawberry boba - Oreos - Tons of candies (Kit Kats, sour patch kids, dark chocolate chips, etc.) And it looks like they rotate their flavors pretty often based on a poster advertising four new flavors added in December. I also appreciated that they had a lot of chocolate and vanilla type flavors vs. mostly fruit. This is an update for this place from several years ago. Received an email the other day telling their customers how they are dealing with the epidemic of the coronavirus. I haven't had yogurt in quite a few years so when I found out the steps they were taking to ensure safety and sanitation to their customers I thought I would try it out again. Jim is still the owner, but the customer service and the women that he has chose to help him run his shop has gone down drastically. I placed an order, called them and told them that I was there to pick it up. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude, she acted like she had no time for anyone. I ordered A MINI and she preceded to charge me for a small which was 7.04! Horribly expensive for what you get, toppings are .65 UPCHARGE. When I TRIED to tell her that she misunderstood me and charged me for something I didn't order, she got nasty! This was all over the phone!! When I asked to speak with Jim she said "here" and handed him the phone. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Jim ended up in the end refunding my cash back to me, but if this is the way this business is dealing with customers to try to make an extra penny because of the coronavirus, they're doing it the wrong way and won't be getting another single penny from me. By the way, the ice cream isn't what it used to be... There are WAY too many other better places besides this one. I just noticed the one in Southlake closed, go figure. read more

YES...this place is in hard core competition with other yogurt shops in the area. When it comes to flavors and toppings, Menchie's is king. They truly bring it and are changing out selections on a consistent basis. My personal favorites...the coconut and the vanilla snow. OH...and oatmeal raisin! Freaking heaven. Not sure if that is a seasonal item or what. You could go nuts with the toppings or go healthy with fresh fruit, granola and such. So many things to try here! They also have dairy free options/sorbets. Get a reward card and rack up the points. And I love the friendly greeters and the whole 'have a smiley day' farewell! It's just so colorful, happy and fun! The bratty teenage girl behind the counter couldn't care less about her job and lacks common courtesy skills or knowledge about her jobs products. You are forced to buy pre-filled toppings in containers that weigh more than what you desire to consume and don't take in to account the extra weight those plastic containers add to your end bill. Fun little place to get yogurt. The flavor of the yogurt taste better than a lot of other yogurt shops I've been to. There's tons of options for toppings which is fun. I wish they had more yogurt flavor options though, but what they have is really good.
