If the fish isn't sold the day before, they will sell it for a cheaper price the next morning. There are also a few shops with fresh flowers, cheese, bread, nuts, and cooked meats. Not a ton when it comes to prepared food for you to sit and consume but their selection of fruits and veggies are absolutely gorgeous! Again, when we went it wasn't happening. They offer 2 for 1 drinks Thursday through Saturday for after work hours. Again, it wasn't the same time we went. So, the possibilities here are abound. I had seafood and it was great. The salad I had with my salmon was great, the veggies not so much. The grilled pepper and shrimp was really good. My husband had the Asian food and his soup was way too salty. My son had the spaghetti bolognese and he liked it, but I tried and not so much. He liked it, so whatever. We had a sangria that was sooooo good. I am obsessed with the sangria's here. The inside seating was rather hot so we went outside and it was nicer, but we felt the music was rather loud. The entire indoor farmers' market was peculiarly devoid of customers, making for a very "hollow" sounding atmosphere in that high-ceilinged rotunda. That said, the produce, poultry, fish and butcher stalls that were open all looked fresh and wonderful. Still, though, we left mostly unimpressed by its morgue-like ambiance. Continente at Colombo is the largest shopping centre that I came across during my trip to Lisbon…read more The supermarket is one of the largest shops located within the mall The store was clean and the layout was easy to follow, even for me, a non-native to Portugal who had never visited a Continente before, it just felt somewhat familiar and made sense. The selection within the store was very good, for produce and fresh counters for meat, fish, cheese and baked goods. I was able to find the products I was looking for in stock or at least a similar alternative. Prices were reasonable in most areas, although many items, especially branded ones, seemed more expensive compared to back home in the UK, even coffee, which is funny as I noticed Nespresso was slightly cheaper here, but the capsules in the supermarket cost more. While the store overall was relatively comfortable and attractive, the checkout area felt like we were going back 10-15 years, it felt crowded and outdated. A very good supermarket overall, it follows the regular shopping centre opening hours of 8 am-midnight which again is very good for those who prefer to get groceries in the evening when it is quieter. 4*
