very good people and very caring really good for older home restricted people to get a day out and socialize fair cost based on income but hours are a little tight for day care if you are only working provider with no help but good shuttle bus service is available if you got someone to put them on bus being a gov agency they have their rules but are available 5 days a wk or less your choice care is topnotch plus a good lunch and freindship to keep up moral and well being would recommend to any one if you need help with aging members of family i highly advise if you are after day care of some to contact these people they have crafts ect to keep people happy plus bingo did not find anything at all that i could find detrimental my wife went to them for 2 yrs while i worked reg nurse on duty at all times she enjoyed it greatly good deal read more

Mercer County Area on Aging is such a waste of tax payer money. They say we offer this, that and the other but when you call them they say oh we can't do that and pawn you off to someone else. read more

They came and took my grandma from her home and put her in nursing homes that she doesn't want to be in scared her a lot. They are the worst agency around. Think some thing should br done about them.They think there god. read more

Sad to see earlier reviewer was spot on and nothing has been done. Quite possibly the worst example of a government agency. I could not get help for my aging and ailing parent and was told we would be put on a wait list. Not what I was expecting to hear from the people that are holding all these events telling you we are there for you. Friends and friends of friends have repeatedly told me about their own problems from Aging including ones that were "threatened" by the agency. If your elderly family member has money and they can make a buck they seem to be right there otherwise do not even waste your time, actually stay far away. read more

This agency needs a total overhaul, starting at the top. The hiring practices at this agency are non-existent and they don't have a plan for the future. The top people in the agency overburden the care management staff by not listening and not getting people hired and properly trained. Starting salary is a joke too. There is one person who tries to handle everything in the Mercer office and she is a control-freak with her hand in every pot. The biggest thing is that they don't want to change for the better and make advancements to enhance the capabilities of the agency and provide higher quality services to the aging population in Mercer County. The only positive things that can be said is that the Care Management Supervisor is an extremely supportive person towards his staff and the Protective Services Supervisor is an extremely genuine and caring person. read more
