He has taken long calls with me several times to discuss strategy, and when he doesn't know the answer to something, he tells me and follows up once he has it. He also saved me six figures in taxes in one year compared to the previous accountant and filed amendments that returned me over $30k over the past 3 years (some of the previous accountant's errors were not amendable). I met Aaron while interviewing several accountants in an effort to replace my then-current accountant, who I felt was not doing a very good job and did not seem familiar with some basic concepts, including QBI deductions, that are particularly relevant to me as an S-Corp business owner. I spoke with him 3 times before I chose him, and on the last call, I told him that I had met with 5 other accountants and would be making a decision within the next week or two. Whereas other accountants seemed offended that I was doing my due diligence, Aaron respected my thoroughness and answered all my questions. Out of the other 5 accountants, only 2 were familiar with the QBI deduction (a basic concept for small business owners), and one who didn't know it was 3x the cost and stated that if an accountant is always available for a call, he "can't be that good." The message was so crude and unprofessional that his client who is close to family of my nephew, had to call and apologize for his response. I sure hope he did not charge them for that email.
