This is a great spot for a traditional country pub lunch - just a 15 minute drive from Toowoomba CBD. The food is good and the servings were extremely generous - we couldn't get through our main meal. New to area and was told this pub was worth checking out. We decided to take the XB Coupe for a drive and upon pulling up at the front, was told we could park it off the road on the grass, out of the way of passing traffic and safer location! Very happy with that once inside we were met with a pub full of fellow diners either eating or ordering their meals from the generous menu options. I ordered the giant rump and salad/chips. After a reasonable waiting time I was presented with the biggest steak I have ever seen. Generous in thickness and nice layer of fat on one side. I topped it off with a pepper sauce. Bottom line, I couldn't finish it, a first time for me! The steak was ordered medium rare and was tender and tasty all the way through. If your in the area on the weekend, do yourself a favour and call in and enjoy the country hospitality and great pub food!! read more
