Despite clarifying that accidents can occur and no blame was being placed, our intent was solely to communicate with the cleaning team, given the remote's absence after their visit. To me, it didn't seem like a significant issue at the time. A few weeks back, I contacted Ryan to schedule a pre-Christmas cleaning for our guests and family. After he assessed the house and collaborated with my wife, Ryan initially quoted $370 for the service, to which we agreed without hesitation. However, during the cleaning, Ryan informed my wife of additional charges due to more work than anticipated. Despite this, my wife agreed to the extra cost without any objection. Unfortunately, following the cleaning, we discovered a substantial scratch on our hardwood floors, seemingly caused by the movement of furniture during the cleaning process. When my wife brought this issue to Ryan's attention, he mentioned he would inquire with his staff about the incident. Regrettably, his team denied any involvement, leading Ryan to defensively question their integrity by asking, 'Why would my staff lie to me?' Despite our attempt at discussing the matter, Ryan abruptly terminated our association, stating that they couldn't continue cleaning our place because we had previously raised concerns about the missing remote. Exercise caution when considering Ryan's services as he doesn't uphold his commitments nor the quality of his work. While we acknowledge that accidents can occur, we are entirely open to reaching a mutual agreement for the damage caused. However, despite our attempts to contact Ryan, he hasn't responded to our calls. As Ryan operates this business independently, there seems to be no viable channel for a resolution if he disclaims responsibility, leaving us with no recourse for finding a solution.
