Sad to see there are only negative reviews - we LOVE our "Merry Ladies"! Merry Maids has been cleaning for us for about a year, and always do an excellent job! My home is clean and cared for - great attention to detail and they add special touches around the house (arranging my kiddos' stuffed animals, staging a little ninja turtle battle with their tub toys) Each time, they REALLY show me I'm valued as a customer, and that they've given 110%. The office staff is also extremely responsive and helpful with scheduling changes I've needed to make, always a phone calls the day before to let me know when they will arrive, etc. Thanks, Merry Maids! read more

I feel bad to leave a low review but I was just not pleased with the result I got given what I paid. First of, I will say I am very grateful for Koby who was excellent at the customer service side of things! He was helpful in giving me a price quote, and even adjusting it for me several times while I was changing my mind on what I wanted! Ultimately I scheduled a deep clean for all areas of the house except the bedrooms. I was told it would be from the ceiling to the floors -- dusting high cobwebs around the crown molding, to "wet wipe down of all the baseboards" and that is definitely not even closet to what I got. Some of the crown molding trim was dusted of cobwebs but definitely not most of it. I could still see several dusty high spider webs after they left. And in many areas they seemed to do the high dusting last, which resulted in dust falling on the counter that they had just cleaned. (For example, on my bathroom counter, they dusted the lights over my vanity last, and that left dust all over my toothbrush and earring tray and other things on the counter. And similar things happened in the other bathrooms. Everyone who cleans should know that you need to work from top to bottom for this exact reason). All the mirrors that they wiped down were left foggy and streaky. They did not wet wipe (or wipe at all) any baseboards as far as I could tell. And they barely swept, vacuumed, or mopped. I could still see crumbs and spots and things all over the hardwood and carpeted floors even after they were done. There was also a language barrier that made it harder too. And I feel bad even bringing that up! But I couldn't ask them questions or specify instructions for them, and I think that is part of why things did not get done to the standard that I was expecting. I paid nearly $800 and was willing to do it for a deep clean, but that is not what I got. Even if this had just been for a general clean, I was just not happy with the result of things when they left for the price I had paid. If I could give a "zero" I would. They absolutely did not clean what I was told they would do. If things took a little bit of elbow grease to clean they didn't do it. So very disappointed. They came back a second time and cleaned up a few things. After they left that time I still found all of the things pictured below. So I basically ended up cleaning it myself after they were finished the second time. I will never use them again.!!! I will definitely hire a private individual person who takes more pride in their work. read more

With their poor management and being unprofessional they should just end their business now. Their a useless cleaning company and I would never recommend them to anyone. Why own a cleaning business when you can't even run it let alone hire on workers who don't do their simple cleaning job. read more

I had them come and clean to get my house ready to sell. It cost me $760 and there us only my husband and myself. I have always kept a clean home and wanted deep cleaning done. The two gals were friendly and nice, but there were many things that did not get done as well as you would think they would paying that kind of money. Will try somewhere else next time. read more

Couldn't follow directions and didn't clean my fridge the first time around. They apologized, sent cleaners the next day, and I was still able to wipe off the shelves with a wet Kleenex and get residue off. Astoundingly poor cleaning job. I requested a "move out" clean so that I could get the most of my deposit back when I left my apartment. The lady came to give a quote and we walked her through SPECIFICALLY every item on the list given to us by the rental company. Highlighted on the estimate given to us by Merry Maids were the oven, the light fixtures and the refrigerator. These were INCLUDED IN THE ESTIMATE. $369 non-refundable and four hours later, I was told they were finished. Like I said, this was a move out clean. No one lived in this apartment anymore and by the time my landlord made it there to check the place out for release, it was outside of the 24 hour window to contact Merry Maids with any issues. Guess what didn't get done... THE OVEN, THE FRIDGE/FREEZER, OR THE LIGHT FIXTURES. I had to return the next week and hand scrub them myself AFTER PAYING $369 FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT. I'm sure that as soon as they heard that this was a "move out clean" and saw that no one lived there anymore, they decided that they could get away with short changing the cleaning jobs and saving themselves some time because no one would be there to examine it. If you're going to use this service, I recommended being home and watching their every move while they're cleaning your house so you don't get gypped on a non-refundable clean. read more

I have tried to be patient with this company for almost a year and the service was just never up to what was advertised or promised. Wiping furniture and leaving wide streaks of dust. Forgetting to wipe appliances, hair in the sink, tubs uncleaned, etc. When calling to talk about recommendations in helping the crew to clean my home better, they were snide in their comments as if it were Merry Maids who was paying to clean my house. I have never been treated in such a horribly disrespectful manner. When contract finally, thank goodness, expired, I was excited to find a new service :-) I also learned when trying to hire a service for my daughter in CA, same poor reputation. First time they cleaned it looked really nice. After that I had to keep asking them to come back and finish....I mean really dirty counters, places left unclean, not dusting, cleaning supplies left out....really unprofessional. The managers suggestion was that I needed to pay more money for cleaning. I said no thanks. read more

This company is very un-professional! I am the first person to write positive reviews when I feel a company is outstanding and rarely write negative reviews unless they are just beyond bad. They do not care about their customers or listen AT ALL. Every time they would come I would give them another chance to redeem themselves and EVERY time it just got worse. They don't communicate your wishes and are not very nice to work with. My scheduled cleanings were always messed up (they never came when they were supposed to) and they didn't even call me to let me know when they were coming I had to call them every time and find out my requested times were not honored. They are very expensive too and do a poor job cleaning, most the time after they would leave the only place I could tell they cleaned was the kitchen. Not worth the money I was spending! They also broke something in my house and still charged my card after I called to cancel because at that point I was so mad! Lastly when I called to cancel they didn't care one bit it was rather disgusting how much they could care less to lose a customer, especially a customer like me that would have been very loyal and never missed payments! read more
